I always sing along. I think it shows a sign of dedication. I love their songs so much I know every single word to every single song. How is that a bad thing? Singing along doesn't distract from the mood, it only adds to it. I've never thought of it as a bad thing unless you're completely wasted and just acting like a jackass. But honestly, I think it shows that I REALLY REALLY LOVE the band. Because I REALLY REALLY do love Stars.
This song reminds me of my ex boyfriend. We lived aways from each other, rarely got to see each other, and weren't very good at calling others. We broke up, and I was really upset, and after a month, I heard this song and realized that he was what I wanted in a boyfriend, but I gave what I gave and it wasn't enough. But I'm not sorry that we dated, and now I'm not sorry that we can't be together.
personally i think the song is about ot people who had a relationship a long time ago that they never completely got over then they are thrown together again and it gives them a kind of closure "There's one thing I want to say, so I'll be brave
@buyxthexnecklace Well, alot of people have different ideas, but this is what I think. Two people who don't know eachother very well see eachother randomly again, they go home, have sex, it screws up the relationship, and then everyone's upset.
@KatDoesVideo I think they know each other quite well. When he says "I was trying to remember your name" I think he was being sarcastic. They were lovers who haven't seen each other in a long time and are still trying to get over the other. All my opinion though!
What I love about stars is that this video's comments section has the most civil discussion I've ever seen on the internets. Read on, dear watchers, read on!
I know the stars just a while, but this doesn't change, that I am sooo in love with them. THe Voices of the two singers are too beautiful and they sing with real emotions, thats what i love on concerts. Keep on like this! (I am sorry for my bad english)
Yeah, except it looked to me like he mouthed "turn the camera off"
Which I can understand, I mean I appreciate having an awesome video like this to watch, but I think sometimes we are viewing great moments through lenses a little too much and not actually just living them
Is it wrong that im kind of bummed now about seeind them oct 20th? i dindt know it was a singalong. i wish people woudl singalong to their cds and let me enjoy live music live. maybe im just an asshole.
I thought the audience was supposed to sing along with the band at concerts. That seems to be my experience with the majority of shows I've been to, listened to, and seen videos of. A lot of bands encourage the crowd to sing along, and even work the crowd and interact with them. This isn't classical music where you're supposed to sit down and be quiet until the orchestra stops playing, this is a ROCK concert, where crowd singalongs are quite standard!
I guess you thought wrong ;-) When I saw them the band encouraged singing along, so I wasn't too bummed, but at shows wehre the band doesnt mention anything like that, and a bunch of drunk floozies decide to do so, it really destracts from my experience, personally.
Since music has changed in the last 10 years, it's a lot more noticeable and can be annoying. You, in the 90s as far as indie rock went, it was mostly punk or alternative where the instruments were distorted and cranked up. So, singing along was less noticeable and you were getting your butt kicked in the pit. But now, popular music is more about lots of instrumentation and the words are more carefully chosen. Just my opinion
this song has always meant a lot to me. i love it <3

They look like they're high on crack. And the guy in the background who thinks he can sing needs to stop, seriously.

Epic how the guy in the crowd terribly sing. Ok no, he screams. We can't hear anything else.
But what a good band.
