hmm...i am surprised people like this cover so much. I would prefer to hear another marley cover or something more up ben's alley. His voice just does not do this song justice(and i don't even like bowie's version that much) but i mean, this really isn't one of his better songs. Flat out.
I think it's an interesting cover choice, especially given the fact that it's one person doing a duet (Mercury and Bowie). The lyrics to the song are rather quirky. But I do think Ben does it justice, and I like how it shows off the dynamics of his voice. It's not a easy song to sing, and I think Ben handles it well. I certainly think it's up his "alley", and this new band is bringing out a different side of his musical personality.
