You do realize that Dave's missing from the stage, right? That happened for a reason earlier in the show. I'll always remember that night, it's freakin' funny. Which pretty much explains why they wound up trashed up the stage, without Dave, the shows pretty much over anyway.
Kirt cobain, was a genius, plain and simple, even tho, his music has been reffered to as"nursery rhymes"....still a genius, never the less....and will still be admired and talked about, a hundred years from now, for his contribution to music and what he did for it at that time......
Saw them in Tampa, Fl 1990 (Ybor at the Masquerade which is our CBGB's) while they were still on Sub Pop. Road tripped from Tallahassee where I was at school to see them. Enjoy the videos because unless you got the opportunity to see them in concert (especially in a small club), you will never understand what it was like! RIP Kurt (my boy Stuss still have a piece of the Fender you trashed)!
DO YOU KNOW WHO KURT GOT HIS INSPIRATION FROM... DAVE PIRNER FROM SOUL ASYLUM...... DAVE AND THE BOY'S WERE 7 YEARS GRUNGE BEFORE 1993 ... CHECK OUT 99 % FROM SOUL ASYLUM... OR SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING BY SOUL ASYLUM... VOTED THE BEST LIVE BAND 5 YEARS RUNNING FROM 93 TO 97.... BY ROLLING STONE
@sh3p So do I. It was a night of revelation for a 15 year old kid who was so disillusioned with the state of music in the late '80s / early '90s. Nirvana ushered in the new age and we all said goodbye to that teased hair crap like Warrant, Poison, and the like.
@MattHatter Up until Nirvana I only listened to classic rock, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, The Beatles, and the who. The Night this aired it all changed for me. The end sold it all, they smashed everything in in the way the who would!
@buzz851 Wow. You were into the exact same bands I was into. Were you like me? You'd go around telling kids at your school about a band like Deep Purple or Iron Butterfly and just get blank stares? One of my junior high friends told me recently that I introduced him to psychedelic rock when I played him "Time Has Come Today" back around 1990 or so. I had no idea! Ha ha! Yeah, the grunge movement gave me hope for music during my teenage years....of course that changed by the end.
Back in the 60s trashing your gear was a statement. By 1992 it was like, yeah whatever...cut to a commercial....
