I have found that books by Democrats make just as good targets as do books by Republicans, by Fox News talking heads, and by preachers. Bibles make the best targets because many organizations give them away for free. My local used book store has a free book bin for rejects, so there is always good fodder for targets. I did, however, find a rare book in the free bin once, and I sold it on ebay for almost five hundred bucks. I check all books now for that reason.
i just shot both the 9mm gen 4 and 40 gen 4. i shot 10 rounds on the 9mm and it jammed 3 times. the 40 gen 4 was shot 100 times and not one jammed i would stay away from the 9mm IMO

I think the CT grips might work with the medium grip. But I don't know for sure. I can't explain the feel or why the small setting feels better... but it just does.
i've heard that the new gen4 doesnt require pulling of the trigger in the takedown process... i am unfamiliar with the new glock but is this true...i hope they didnt screw up the ease of takedown on the gen3...my glocks fieldstrip way easier faster than my m&p with the mag disconnect safety...does anyone have any experience with the new glock in this regard?
Glocks are not real fancy or anything but when it comes to buying a gun that shoots well, glocks are the gun to get. That one vid where the guy takes the gen 4 and takes the slide off, fills the inside with sand, shakes it out, and then shoots it was pretty incredible.

You think that? Wrong. Glock understands it's customer base is mainly professional gunslingers. Law Enforcement. If they did something second rate, it wouldn't take long to find out and then their reputation is ruined. The gun industry is all about reputation.
His bodyguards where caught carrying sub machineguns. They MAY have legally possesed them in MA or where ever they where from, but it would have been illegal to transport them across states lines without ATF approval, and possession of any firearm in DC without a permit is illegal, and at the time there was no HR 218, so even if they where off duty cops, it was illegal. So it was illegal on several levels.
It seems the duel recoil system feels abit flimsy imo. The notch that holds the springs together feels kinda cheap I guess. Time will tell though, Hopefully Wolff will create some aftermarket options sometime soon and such.
I also noticed that apon field stripping the slide would sometimes get stuck on the rails somehow.

What do you think of Federal .40 Hydrashock? I've been carrying these for eyars in my P99, but have never really been able to compare it to Winchester or others. It seems to have decent reviews.

madogre...you said you like the glock with no backstraps(small setting) yet you look like you have larger hands...i thought this same thing when i held one today...what is your take as an owner on the new backstrap design vs the regular gen 3 feel....also does anyone know whether the gen 3 ct lasergrips will work on the gen 4?

I think the CT grips might work with the medium grip. But I don't know for sure. I can't explain the feel or why the small setting feels better... but it just does.

i've heard that the new gen4 doesnt require pulling of the trigger in the takedown process... i am unfamiliar with the new glock but is this true...i hope they didnt screw up the ease of takedown on the gen3...my glocks fieldstrip way easier faster than my m&p with the mag disconnect safety...does anyone have any experience with the new glock in this regard?

Glocks are not real fancy or anything but when it comes to buying a gun that shoots well, glocks are the gun to get. That one vid where the guy takes the gen 4 and takes the slide off, fills the inside with sand, shakes it out, and then shoots it was pretty incredible.

You think that? Wrong. Glock understands it's customer base is mainly professional gunslingers. Law Enforcement. If they did something second rate, it wouldn't take long to find out and then their reputation is ruined. The gun industry is all about reputation.

His bodyguards where caught carrying sub machineguns. They MAY have legally possesed them in MA or where ever they where from, but it would have been illegal to transport them across states lines without ATF approval, and possession of any firearm in DC without a permit is illegal, and at the time there was no HR 218, so even if they where off duty cops, it was illegal. So it was illegal on several levels.

I've run them in all day training courses, and casual popping like today. It works pretty good and are more comfortable than regular ear plugs.
For 12.50 they are a good deal. They muffle shots good enough for shooting a .50BMG. I like them a lot.

regarding the 4th gen glock; it is a much awaited update, but I still find the CZ75 series to fit and shoot better in my hands.

So does the recoil feel less with the GEN4?
I field stripped one at the store.
It seems the duel recoil system feels abit flimsy imo. The notch that holds the springs together feels kinda cheap I guess. Time will tell though, Hopefully Wolff will create some aftermarket options sometime soon and such.
I also noticed that apon field stripping the slide would sometimes get stuck on the rails somehow.
Search the GlockTalk forum. Several can explain it better.
Everything else I like though.

Last 22 Gen3 I shot was with different ammo... so it's hard to tell. But I do think the recoil was a bit less sharp than last time.

How much does one cost with the factory night sights? I didn't know they had that available on Gen 4 yet.

All models will be Gen 4 by the end of the year.
Gen 3 will be discontinued in the same process.
