  • I grew up with the Thunderbirds.

  • New series in 2011/2012 :D

  • Such a good T.V show :)

  • Suddenlly I feel 6years old again.

This is one TV animantion that would NEVER grow old.

  • I remember watching these on video when i was a child, good times :D

  • Now this is entertainment!

    Thanks for posting.......

  • An International Rescue organisation is still a great idea. Every time there's an earthquake or other disaster, it takes 5 days for the UN to deliver any kind of appropriate response.

  • Simply Ahead of its Time

  • :') what a childhood

  • Thumbs up for team america parody.

  • I love thunderbirds :)

  • For all those kids who grew up with video players, DVDs and SKY+ my deepest condolesences. Nothing beat building an indoor aerial for the UHF channel out of a cornflakes packet, tin foil, sellotape and a spliced aerial cable in 1972...

Just so you had a choice of three different THUNDERBIRDS episodes on a Sunday afternoon. Anglia at 11.00am with Southern and LWT broadcasting another two different ones at 12pm. Cue channel hopping during the credits to select the one you'd seen least!.

  • Loved Thunderbirds when I was little :D

  • proof that puppets can kick ass.

  • @2010Barbon and you new age kids are into Telletubbies... Don't like it? then don't watch it... simple. You don't see me searching up Telletubbies and crap just to post a comment on how much i don't like it... i wouldn't even go there in the first place.

  • @Drimmelen88 sad bastard into this shit! LMAOOOO!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @Blahmarrow she's not dead.

  • @2010Barbon awkward

Uhh... I sorry I spazzed at you.

  • @Blahmarrow k sorry also.

  • @2010Barbon Don't be

  • @Blahmarrow later dude.

  • Thunderbirds to the rescue opening.

  • Ah September 1966 happy memories

  • 0:26, when im doubt, ram the bastard thing!

  • America..Fuck yeah, no wait...wrong franchise...

  • @Porly62 Nothing is clean anymore, lol

  • i remeber those show then they quit showing it on stod2 aka icelandic channel

  • This show inspired a generation of young boys to get creative with cherry bombs, black cats, and their sisters' Barbie vehicles.

  • @Vanbader

The use of the word 'retard' is a puzzle!

Moving on from that rather odd comment I stand by all that I wrote.

    Thunderbirds is not a classic.

It is not a piece of art. It was making use of what was available at that moment.

Just like Morph was.It was making use of what was available at that moment.

Thunderbirds is a great money spinner.

Thunderbirds is a nice family show that is part of tv history and should only be repeated once again every now and then!!

  • gladly i found this upload ... i remember watching this when i was a child

    must have been between 1985 - 1990

sweet memories - thanks for the upload ;)

  • this shows are piece of art. one day people will listen again to these things and say now we can't do this anymore.

  • Not a classic?

    "Home, Parker." - "Yes, Milady"

How can that not be aclassic?

  • having a Huge rocket launch from underneath your swimming pool, now thats a crib.

  • Thunderbirds was a good show in it's time but it is overated.

It has been a childrens/family show that has been screened too many times and has made Gerry Anderson and co much cash. Please don't use the word nostalgia! That is just used to generate even more cash!

It is not a classic programme. It was puppets on string and I can only imagine back then that it raised eyebrows, though it's not really well documented.

    Every generation has their favourites.

We live in a different world today.

  • @absoluteMK Thunderbirds not classic- confirmed for full retard

  • @absoluteMK

It's not quite as gripping as Star Treck, or as nostalgic as Doctor Who (which will always be king of TV), but it's a bit of fun that most people can relate to. The music was excelent, and it was such an incredible and unique concept. I don't think it's overrated, people just remember the good bits more than the bad. The 2004 movie was a bit of fun that resparked the fire, if it wasn't a big hit.

  • Thunderbirds was truly a great, about time the Beeb starting showing it again, possibly at Weekends on BBC Two mid morning, a true classic programme, totally superior to modern brainless kids tv, i would hate to be a kid today, im happy im a 90s kid when childrens TV actually taught you things and was made properly, kids these days, no wonder they are going through school with no brains, they havent got any good TV to educate them

  • almost 50 still makes me smile

  • @gillsteve I'm sad they only had two seasons =(

This is by far my favorite show :D

  • @gillsteve I understand, my friend. :-)

  • Man if you showed something this and they had no idea about the show, that 20 second preview thing would make them wanna see it all in one day.

  • We need IR to fix the Japanese nukes!

    Help!!!!!

    Bobby..

  • i'd have to select thunderbirds, lady penelope and parker by a whisker. we had the lady penelope rolls royce at home too. children's tv was fun, the baddies were always quashed....just like they should be! as we'd say to my brother's and my amusement and my father's mystery ...."parker - drive on"

  • Dont know now who I like better - Captain Scarlett or those damn fine Thunderbird boys!

  • a w e s o m e

  • We need IR to help those who have been affected by the Christchurch and Japan earthquake!

  • I spotted script editor/writer Alan Pattillo (now in his 80s) in a tearoom in Aberdeenshire a few months ago and decided to approach him. He was graciousness itself and thanked me kindly for telling him how much his work had meant to me as a small boy. It really lifted my weekend to know that someone who worked my favourite TV series was such a perfect gentleman.

  • wtf i want the jet

  • One thing is certain - those dummies sure know how to keep a straight face in times of danger :p

  • *hrhr*

  • We need IR to save Japans power plants!

    FAB!!!!!!!

  • I saw this when I was 7

  • I wanna see it. How can I find this TV shows?

  • The rescues were OK but I would've liked to have seen more footage of them relaxing on Tracy Island, sitting around that Mid-Mod house smoking and listening to Jazz......Swinging pad.

  • super mario nation? lol´d

  • i loved it so much !!! Thunderbirds gooo

  • Can you imagine what they must look like when having intimate relations? . . . Oh wait, Team America solved that problem for us.

  • One of the gretest TV themes of all time.

I shall play this at my Funeral Mr Tracy

  • @richard10661066

Given that we played the closing theme to Fireball XL-5 at our wedding reception as our first dance, I can quite relate to your plan. :-)

  • Best episode was where they had to get the missile carrier off the riverbed.

    And 30 people are Kyrano...Kyrano...KYRANO!!!

  • @Jermyn78 I think "Attack of the alligators" and " Path of destruction " with the giant crablogger were 2 of the best episodes, they were all brilliant, possibly because they were all true stories. There was a vicious rumour being circulated a few years ago that the characters were all puppets. Can you believe the shit that some people come out with ? I mean, do they look like puppets to you ??

  • @drage1862 Ironically, the puppets are less wooden than some actors...

  • @Jermyn78 Yeah, I make you right !

  • dude, they shoulda rescued the bp guys and the chilean miners, along with haiti

  • I love it.... Icouldn't stop watvhing it in the 60's, and still feel the same.

Thinderbird 5-4-3-2-1 is on my mob (driving "all" berserk) ....LOL

  • oh god I used to love this show... :)

  • A timeless classic. I'm buying the DVD now.

  • Gerry Anderson announced he is going to make a new series of Thunderbirds!!! :D

  • 30 People weren't rescued

  • @Tispower

    LMAO

Loved the Thunderbirds as a child, was obsessed with it. I still think the visuals are amazing.

  • Space ships and a giant alligator...

  • A product of a time where no need was felt to talk down to kids or treat them like complete retards. The 2004 movie was a wasted opportunity and focussed on the 8-14 demographic in a way that the original series never seemed to do. I'd hate to be in my teens today. The video games are better, but everything else is worse.

  • @colin5577

The video games are NOT better nowadays. There is no games with the WOW-factor which games like Deus Ex, System Shock 2, Fallout etc. had.

  • @colin5577 even the video games are worse aswell. its all brainless bullshit. remeber the times when you did that one level over and over again becouse it was so hard ? nowadays games are copies of eachoter and they all revolve around mindless shooting hacking and or slashing.

  • @colin5577 and speaking as said teen?

jesus fuck, i want to grow up when you guys did :/

  • @colin5577 the video games arent better, duke nukem time to kill, doom3,golden axe

    those were the glory days

  • @colin5577 and that song by Busted is so ridiculous

  • i can't see the comment that clayanimator made, but i'd like you to know, FIBREOPTIK that you were responding to a 12 year old boy. really nice.

  • ONE OF THE GREAT SHOW AND SOUNDTRACKS

  • classic!!!

  • Blowing up alligators? I'm up for that. Will there be beverages?

  • the hood always scared the shit out of me when i was little:P i actually also had most of the thunderbirds verhicle toys:O

  • I have old Thunderbirds Nintendo shooting game (1988) uploaded in my channel. It's called Let's Play Thunderbirds! For those who want to watch, please visit my channel! Thanks and I love these series.

  • Best thing ever made on the Slough Trading Estate.

  • At 51 it still gets me everytime they blast off!

  • Super Mario Nation? Why haven't I heard of that game yet?

  • When I was a kid... I was terrified of this show! XD

I still am! I dont know, I think the way the puppets were scared the shiz out of me as a kid! XD

Nothing bad about the show to anyone who liked it, but yeah that was my thoughts xD

  • 0:57 eric from thats 70 show

  • the thunderbird's were one of the best totally cool show's on TV in the 60's the music was the save the day type totally cool,

no one in the US could have done it like gerry anderson,

All america had was hanna barbera and silly animated things like dinosaurs and birdman and and Jonny Quest,

The intro to thunder Birds made you feel proud to go and taqke care of situations or get someone out of trouble with all thier aircraft, and idea's it was incredible,

  • @kirkconway I think this show is indeed awesome for being made in 60s. yea screw USA movies (although I like 007)

  • Omg fantastic memories. I watched them all when i was still a kid. I recognize all pictures that are shown here. that song, memories, memories. my brother be scott, since he is the oldest and I was virgil for being the second. of course now I feel most connected with brains :P. but the tension and exictement every single episode and the scary Hood. I still have some episodes on old videos. Man Thunderbirds are/were the best!

  • The best thing to ever have come out of the Slough Trading Estate. Unbelievably that is where they were made, in a factory building near the water cooling towers.

    Best childrens programme ever.

  • I would have love to have done the Pyrotechnics on this show!

  • I always thought John Tracy was gay.....And so being Americans in the '60s, the Tracy family decided to put him into isolation to cure it or something

  • The mole should save the cuban miners!

  • Superb. Now I realize how well produced and intelligent these shows were. I enjoy more now than I ever did as a kid. Thank you Gerry.

  • Finally signed up to Utube because of this clip. Brilliant quality. Nice comment 4demo.

  • This was a strange show. But also awesome.

  • I miss this show :(

  • Thunderbirds could have got those Chillean miners out by now using the mole.

  • @CrypticSquidy Thank god i wasnt the only one that wasnt thinking that, WE NEED International Rescue!

  • Thunderbirds could have got those Chillean miners out by now using the mole

  • Team America. WTF was that rubbish. This stuff is timeless.

  • filmed in VIDEOCOLOR!

  • USAF Thunderbirds are better

  • i swear the was an episode where there was a thunderbird 6

  • @friends09ism Wasn't that a feature length film? If I remember right, Brains kept coming up with fancy ideas for a TB6 and they kept getting 'kicked to the kerb'. There was a biplane that got used during the film to help in a rescue and then this got renamed Thunderbird 6.

  • @eddiebruv theres a thunderbirds film that has real people innit but theres no plain in that

  • Humanities Greatest Achievement.

    Not that, I am one to over-exaggerate : )

  • EPIC

  • @ab40 most epic EVER!!!

  • 16? I'm 21 I still think this show is the best kids TV show ever. And that movie remake with the kids? Total tosh, the 2 original movies are still amazing to this day!

  • Screw modern kids TV, I'm 16 and I still love this!

Also its funny when a building falls down and you can tell that its a cereal packet or something. :)

  • THUNDERBIRDS einfach super

  • The fingering of the violins part starting at 0:38 must be quite bitchy...

  • im 18 and i still watch Thunderbirds

  • @rickypierocks

I'm 43 and still watch Thunderbirds.

  • That Brains was a hard worker...made all those ace machines...imagine the ballache making Tracy island and keeping it secret...apparently it was built by Prisoners of war who were then machine gunned and encased in the concrete base of the Thunderbird 2 launch pad....that family...hard cold people.

  • 27 dumbs didn´t have childhold..

    27 incautos no tuvieron infancia

  • I've always wondered why they had 2 Rockets...........

  • @HighlyVisibleNinja One for space, one for randomly flying around the globe but never entering orbit? Doesn't matter thunderbird 2 was the best.

  • Hey - they should re-play thundegbirds on ITV or BBC - come on guys get this classic back on air!

  • I had a crush on Virgil....

  • so this was basically team america in the 60s

  • mario... from marionette......... italian, a puppet controlled via a string for all the dickheads out there....supermarionation ... a clever play on words and a great tv show!!

  • We need IR to stop the oil leak!

    Bobby...

  • how did you put all those introductionscenes from different episodes together??

  • Did you know that "Brains' married Claudia Schiffer.....she became Claudia Shiffer-Brains

  • Classic

  • I think its a good thing they dont make any thunderbirds episodes these days anymore(exept for that frikin new lame ass TB film). I can watch all of the episodes time after time and it wont bore me at all!! TB is the best and especially when you have them on oldskool VHS ;)

  • Beware of copyright, did you have permission to submit it, you tube copyright policy does not allow coyrighted material to be submitted without permission!

  • The greatest TV intro ever, even after 40 odd years its inspirational,Barry Gray, your a legend.

  • I just love that sexy plane @ 0:23. Interestingly it still looks futuristic even in today's standards, while most of the future tech in old movies tend to look somewhat funny today...

  • @98sibuna It's got a fantastic name too. The Fireflash. For standard air transport, it sure has a hardcore name.

  • Still the Best! Watched this as a kid and still love it as a adult! THUNDERBIRDS RULE!!!

  • LOL SUPERMARIONATION... Super Mario Nation! :)

  • If only.

John had acess to the worlds largest porn up there and Brains had built him a state of the art rubber doll.

  • America, F**K Yeah! Off to save the mother f**cking day yeah!

  • 0:18

    oeh shite!!!1

  • Thunderbirds ar' GOETH ... Know thyself

  • Thunderbirds Was the greatest thing to ever happen to TV, and it always will be.

    THUNDERBIRDS FOREVER! AND NO CGI!

  • "Thunderbirds are go"... is that even English? Going or gone sounds a lot more acceptable...

  • @Snegenad1

After some searching I found the phrase: "All systems are go" meaning "everything is working correctly and we are ready to begin". I think it can be applied to the Thunderbirds (The machines)

  • @Snegenad1 Of course it's english, I understand it, and my native tongue is spanish.

  • this is awesome!!! i used to watch this all the time!! Thunderbirds ARE GO!

  • l love this always have always will

  • This is so cool!!

  • Has anybody else noticed that Tony Abbott (opposition leader in Australia) looks like a Thunderbirds pilot?

  • hahaha.. now that you mention it - yes!

just thankful that we don't see any thunderbirds in dick togs :P

(for non-aussies: dick togs aka lolly bags aka swimmers)

  • G4 is smart, see? They know people would much rather see reruns of Cops than geeky shows like this.

Somebody call Ziff Davis and tell him to fix the world.

  • Super Mario Nation!

That's where Nintendo got the idea!

  • This is FAKE!!!

    You can see the strings.

  • You stupid foul. of course it's fake because it are PUPPETS. and that is the genious part about it.

  • no shit sherlock, boy are you smart, we will have to call you Brains dip shit

  • WTF! IS SUPERMARIONATION? 1:23

  • Supermarionation is invented by the maker of the serie Gerry Anderson. It is the automatic movements of the mouths of the puppets so it looks like they talk.

  • thunderbirds is the best tv programme ever!

  • America, fuck yeah!

  • Questa serie mi piaceva da morire...
