Wow thats an amazing boat! All human powered and completely enclosed. If its watertight which I am sure it is, its safe to say it is nearly unsinkable.
Greg, I hope you can fix the rudder and ballast trouble and try another stormy day on the west coast , cause I think you'll see worse out in the middle of the Pacific.
Me and a couple of buddies talked to you out in front of C.R. when you were going to Hardy.I think about your journey quite often and really hope you can make it without too many problems.
@blackcreeker Hi - I remember you. Thanks for your advice with getting thru the narrows - that was you right? We are going with a bigger rudder, more ballast in the stern, and some movable batteries (port to starboard) for trim. Seems to work on the scale model - trying to move center of lateral pressure BACK so that the bow turns with the wind enough that I can get rudder control.
I look forward to following your progress and hope you get enough footage to create an entry in the Banff Mountain Film festival from this expedition.
Go Greg go! The ocean is gonna give you all kinds of hell, and there will be times when you are fighting just to break even, but know that we are all pulling for you! I swear if I had the funds and the fitness I'd be right there with you. You are in inspiration to us all!
EXTREME!!!

this would make a cool 2 person sailboat just add a swing keel and a sail and go around the world and use pedel power for when the wind is dead.

i hope you are putting some 12v fans in that thing... get down in the lower lats and airflow will become a serious issue.
Excellent work. Good luck.
