yeah, I recognized it's a sort of latin dance, a rumba I think, you nailed it! I didn't aim at perfection, lol, when you try to do this song you realize what an extraordinary singer Paul is! thanks for listening, glad you liked it!! ;o)
Wow I forgot about this song,it's a beautiful melody and ballad by Paul! I really loved your acoustic version Andreas my bro! You brought out a beautiful melody to it,sounded almost classical. :)) Really great! Love your playing and some of the chords you used! Nice singing too just right for a sad kind of ballad. The whistling was cool, lol don't worrry about that. Awesome cover and I think Paul would approve and agree! :)) Where is he? He should listen to this. lol ;)
hey Rick, thanks for all your kind words and compliments!!! this song is from 1989 "Flowers in the Dirt" and I extremely like it and the latin touch within. haha the first whistling notes were so cruel I had to curb them down and insert a break, lol! did you ever play the bass line of it? it's fantastic! ;o)
I have that album, haven't heard it in awhile, just so much going on now with youtube and all. lol I love the album and especially this song,it was my fav on it and so glad you did it Andreas! Your version is so cool with some beautiful chords. :)) Haha don't worry about the whislting, even Lennon had to do many takes on songs and had many bloopers. lol
I never played the bass line to that song. I gotta hear it again and maybe try it.
Keep them vids coming my buddy! You're awesome! :))
thanks Dan!! I'm glad your online again! :) indeed they spread again like the 4 winds, each one into his direction, when they loosened their bond... someone called them a strange animal with 8 legs... :)
Really excellent post! I can see that your not familiar enough with "un-self-deprecation" yet but you're working on it I suppose! ;) The guitar was excellent and I really appreciate the natural and bare sound of this recording, as usual ;) This song is challenging for the voice "indeed" but you're doing really very well! Cheers from abroad! O.
Oh, I missed something special!
A lovely, contemplative dance of a song!
Sounds wonderful to me, friend!
I laughed out loud at what you said about the coffee break during the whistling interlude. ;)

Very nice! Sounds so great! New one for me! It is interesting how the Beatles solo carreers never come close to anything they did together as a band.
