This guy is good. VEry good. People who point out his flaws only wish that their best were as good as his flaws. Give him a break. GReat Ideas, pretty good fluidility on the instrument. Only I can say that is not 100% positive is maybe improve the sound. Keep it up and more vids. 5/5
Oh wait your kid did all those college tapes with the dog running around. What's with the gross bari sound. I can't even hear that piano player and he sounds better than your son. Oh and I want to seem him puff his cheeks more. It really makes for a good show.

Overall great job, but some pointers. Space is key man, your solo will be a lot more effective if you play phrases with some rest in between. You're solo right now seems like a constant stream of notes, which gets me into the next point. Try to develop more melodic phrases, not necessarily just a bunch of eighth notes strung together.

I don't think ScanlonJazz was slamming this guy at all. He's well on his way to being a super player. But he does tend not to lock in time wise, and if he's going to this kind of trouble to be this good, he may as well get all of it down. For even good players this wouldn't be such a big deal, but it's obvious the kid is working on becoming great. It's a constructive criticism. I think if you lock in more with the ride cymbal, you'll solve a lot of this right away. Keep going.
