Actually, it was a joint production between Magma Films, which I believe is Irish, and Southern Star Entertainment which is Australian. The creator is Australian and the distributor, Channel Nine, is Australian. And it stars both Irish and Australian actors.
I wonder why there's no second season about this cause it's a freakin good series and brett is definitely hot, although anna is cute and i like her accent ^^.
