My girlfriend at the time was a Russian studying in Australia and when I went over I had an amazing time. I actually have a lot of respect for russian people and I was treated very well, it's just the social services are so below normal when I saw some of the wealth in Rublovsky etc It made me so angry.

The last czar was killed, along with his family, by the communists when they took over. It is traditional in Russia when a new government takes office to slaughter the previous administration. My girlfriend at the time was a Russian studying in Australia and when I went over I had an amazing time. I actually have a lot of respect for russian people and I was treated very well, it's just the social services are so below normal when I saw some of the wealth in Rublovsky etc It made me so angry.

I think Putin has done a good job but during his tenure as president the rest of the world was having economic growth and I doubt that growth was distributed proportionately throughout the country. He consolidated so much power he was simply able to mould his own image for the Russian public.

The full complexities are beyond my grasp but I do understand that Putin has made an attempt at breaking the financial manacles of the Rothschilds. The imprisonment of Mikhail Khordokovsky and nationalisation of Gazprom was a big step but they still have large reserves of U.S dollars, billions invested in the U.S financila pyramid so I'm not sure just how much economic sovereignty Russia has. Maybe it will take time.

Yeltsin didn't give us freedoms. He simply sold us to america. And Putin got us back to ourselves. I want to live under Russian Czar, not "democratic" puppets of america like Yuschenko or Saakashvili. Good on him, Russians want him, so the rest of the world can stick their opinions up their asses. That would be VERY democratic, let Russians have president/leader they want. So piss off.

Stalin was nothing but a fraud. He claimed to be commmunist but he was nothing more than a fascist pig. He spilled the blood of innocent workers and revolutionaries to exploit his own goals. His economic policies destroyed the USSR in the years after his death. Not only did he ruin the Soviet Union while he was in charge, he ruined for the future generations to come as well.

You're an idiot. It was Brezhnev's fault for not modifying the system. Just like 1800's capitalism doesn't work in the modern world and needed to be changed with time, command socialism also needed to be changed. It wasn't and that was the root of the problem. Stalin's policies GREATLY improved Russia and the Russians continue to benefit from the infrastructure created under his leadership.
