Thanks for posting this video! I loved Norton Buffalo. As a harmonica player myself, I would say he was my greatest musical influence. If you get a chance to hear the original recording of this song, the solo is arguably the finest harp solo ever recorded. Also, he was one of the funniest performers I have ever seen. Once in the middle of a song, he put a diatonic harmonica entirely inside his mouth--and he was still able to play better than most.
Norton is without a doubt the finest harp player out there these days! I can see where John Popper got a lot of influence from and his vocals kind of remind me of Boz Scaggs. I saw Norton in 2003 and he blew my socks off, I had a shit eatin' grin the whole time I was watching because he just sounds so wicked when he opens up on his harp and lets loose with the blues... Rock on Norton, you're truly one of a kind brother!!
Sorry! That was pretty nasty! I was trying to be funny but failed miserably. I gotta stop commenting when I drink. What I think is dark humor reads pretty bad.
Thank you artski101. Norton Buffalo was always so hard to find before.

Norton and B0Z Scaggs had very identifiable voices... could be what drew Elvin Bishop them.

I would say Howard Levy is right up there but he doesn't sing. Norton is my favorite.
