his impression of a phycopath is brilliant, and it is eery how the band and back up singersgo along with him, singing, making the sailor and his gurlfriend seem, unknowingly, alone and trapped by the creepy people. i was sort of relieved when they got away. the whole spaceship bit, though proving the point further of the charactors individuality, social inaptability and alien charactoristics, in both senses of the word. it was a good random statement by the great band, the specials. another hit.

I remember when this first came out and I didn't think "creepy people"; I actually saw the sailor as the only clueless one in the room - his girlfriend seemed to me as if she could be persuaded without too much trouble! But yes, they escaped.

I found the whole semi-retro thing appealing, especially the stylised mannered moves of the 4 dancers and the sailor's 50s look while the girl had the very latest hairstyle.
