You gotta understand the difference between illustration and graphic design! This is more illustration, but not very sophisticated drawing style. You gotta draw!...is it all processed thru some program like Streamline but worse? Danny's right....Youtube isn't for stills.
I don't put my work on youtube, there are other places where real graphic designers show their works. 3D design is one of the worst things in graphic design I think, so I would never even think of making something like that. It's nothing personal since I don't know you. We just have different taste (also in music). As long as you have fun.

I see graphic design as an art form, so to me it's very hard to look at ugly stuff like this, while he's calling it graphic design. Or maybe I'll have to make peace with the fact that most graphic design nowadays is ugly, because everyone likes to think they're artists, while they're not.
Not everyone can be a graphic designer, there are certain rules about spacing and fonts that you don't use in the correct way. To make something impressive, you have make a little bigger effort. The internet is the biggest resource of bad designs, because most webdesigners don't think like graphic designers, they just want it as fast as possible. But it takes time for a good design. Go to a bookstore for real inspiration. Otherwise stop.

I just make this shit for fun on the side, I'm sorry it doesn't meet your standards. I'd like to see your 3D animation too... have you seen my "3D Robot Battle" video? I made that when I was 18. You can't stop me, I do what I want.
yes, very banksy-like with the mokeys and all. but saying all work is original is hard to say. it might be in a way, but it also might be a an illustration based on a picture, took by a photographer who you now are stealing from by live tracing their photo's.
I don't buy it, you probably altered the live trace result by deleting some pieces here and there or tweaking some anchor points. Also I think the addition of typography is just horrible. Typography is one of the key points in graphic design. For those reasons you can't name your video graphic design portfolio. Therefore maybe you can just call it "live traced illustrations from random internet photo's with added poor typography to prove to you this is absolutely not graphic design".
I'm sorry but I disagree with you. The photographer is stealing from the landscape designer when taking a picture of a city park according to that philosophy. As soon as you alter an original art work by 30% it has become an independent work of art in it self. Some try to enforce copyright laws disputing this and they kill creativity in the process, since all creative work is based on something that the artist can't take credit for himself. All design is redesign inspired by other artists
This is far from graphic design. Pretty good but this is Illustration. Not graphic design. Easy on the photoshop filters. Anyone can take a face take into photoshop and put the cutout and paint daubs filter on it and then trace it in illustrator. Draw your own on paper and scan it in and then use the pen tool in Illustrator to trace it.
I never dissed your 3D that was actually decent. I dont do 3D so I cant really take anything away from you there. But all I said is that this is not really graphic design. You should rename it "Illustration" Portfolio
I consider any digital graphics work to be graphic design... but I have worked for a magazine as a professional GD for a few years now, so what do I know?

Nonsense, I traced photos by hand and did a lot of eyeballing to make my own lines. I've substantially altered the images thus making them mine.
