Well the reason I say a 4by2by2 iz bcuz normally they only grow up to 3 1/2 feet long but the nile monitors get to 4 or 5 feet but they are aggressive wen they feed he accidentley bit me wen I was tryin to put a mouse in his cage.

@LIZARDMAN255 due your retarted savannah's can grow anywhre from 3-5 feet and nile monitors can grow between 7-9 feet 10 if you get lucky.

But your OK with the diet just try 2 vary it a lil. Savannahs r pretty voracious feeders it will learn to take insects in time

How would it only need a 4x2x2 when they can reach 4 to 5' I think u need a lil more than 2 months research. Try 6x3x3 n that's the smallest

The savannah monitors are carnivores or insectivores(insects eaters), generally a low-fat diet. Although the savannah monitor is willing to eat mammals, it is not recommended for them be fed mammals, such as mice, in captivity. Mammals are high in fat and cause the liver to enlarge, and can even lead to fatty liver disease.

And the 2 reason why i dont get a savhanna monitor its cus they need lot of space. And i dont have it. And i think if you get a animal is your duty to take care of it right as u dont do.
