Ah my home away from home. Ive been going here every year since i was born. Im 17 now, this is where I hope to raise my family one day. The people are great, and Hilton Head has the most beautiful beaches. Can't wait till summer. <3
Went there every summer as a kid. Amazing place. Their beaches can compete with anyone's (yes that includes Florida and California). Great place for a family vacation. Don't forget to visit Harbor Town. It is amazing.
are there any nature reserves or anthing of the like on HHI because looking at it, it is sooooooo overdeveloped. they literally stuck a house in every nook and cranny of the island

@crazyoldbastard hey umm did you hit your head because I was wondering how the island is boring if they attract thousands of tourists each year. Most of the tourist often come back too. I know it is not boring because when I go my whole week is filled with activities.
If you are a "normal person" don't go there, My family and I went there for a week, the hotel didn't let us park the boat (on a trailer) in the parking lot. Everyone is stuck up, not very kind, expensive, and in general not a very nice place. The beaches however are wonderful.
As a side note, I'm from Pennsylvania and not a hillbilly by any means. This is just how I feel about it.

My parents own a time share at Hilton Head Island with Marriott and HHI is awesome I can't wait to go next year! We go every year depending on what is happening. When we were smaller and younger My mom sister and I would fly while my dad and bigger sister would drive, but now we all drive in same car. Could be good or bad as on how you look on it. 16 hour drive I look to go in AF as a pilot of a C-17 so I can have the chance to be stationed at Charleston, SC and be a couple hours drive from HHI!
Eh... I find it over-rated. Too many tourists and crying babies. Too crowded, and the food is mediocre at best. The most fun is sitting outside at the tiki bar drinking Pina Colada's and listening to music. The restaurant itself was a letdown.
Hudson's on the Docks is a much better seafood restaurant.
