I do not want Obama to win this election, I am against almost everything this man stands for, and have actively campaigned for McCain/Palin. As much as I dislike Obama, it disgusts me when I hear people making comments about how he will be assassinated soon after he's elected. I think that would be absolutely tragic. While I do not want him to be president, I do not think it's right to speak of taking a husband and father away from his family just because we don't agree with him.

In 2005, John McCain tried to pass a reform bill to limit the risk Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were taking on.
It was blocked in committee by Dems on a party line vote.

Reaganomic ended 20 years ago. Our financial problems were the result of a quassi-governmental business, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The problem was caused by government trying to influence both business and society with a great experiment. That government experiment failed and as usual, politicians are pointing fingers. Do you believe politicians?
Why don't you research who tried to correct Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in 2005 and who opposed the reforms. HINT: Democrats loved the experiment.

The great experiment that failed was the one that Ronald Reagan started and that GWB tried to continue. It failed because you can't cut and spend at the same time. The housing bubble was caused by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Their biggest supporters were Democrats. George Bush called from reform 3 months after taking office. Every effort was blocked by Democrats and liberal Republicans. He has warned Congress on many occassions.
John McCain tried to pass S109 in 2005. It was blocked by Democrats.

The housing bubble was caused by sub-prime loans. Sub-prime means loans to people who in reality could not afford the homes they were buying, but were convinced by dishonest brokers and bankers that they could. Neither GWB or Greenspan did anything to prevent this.
