Also the newer Gundam series, OTVs, and movies seem like they're more aimed at little kids. The original Gundam series was so that anyone could watch including adults (in which adults did). It seems like this really impacts the plot and characters. Oooh I just wish Amuro and Char never died...
This is by far the best Gundam movie in my opinion. The plot and battle scenes are somewhat realistic. I don't like the new Gundam series, OTVs, and movies. The plots, characters, and battle scenes suck. Even the Gundams are waaaaay over done. What happened to the classic Gundams with just basic weapons (vulcans, laser beams, bazookas, etc.)? The newer ones have so much crap on them they don't even look like Gundams. I wish Sunrise will go back to the old school Gundam designs.
minovsky particles doesn't have a million different physical and chemical properties, it has two, and that is that the particles themselves have a magnetic field and it can't pass through obstacles. that is all. the only reason why beam weaponary even uses it is because the particles are in such abundance it negates the need for extra slugs of ammunition. NOT because it has a special property that makes it good for being lazer material, although being magnetized helps.

@kevinlei92 Minovsky particles aren't plot device pixie dust, but they have unique properties (not directly related to magnetic fields). 1)Spontaneous I-field formation from opposing charge types, and 2)particle compression states. Those form the basis for the vast majority of M-particle-related applications. You can dig the rest up yourself.

Hence the two versions, the novel is what Tomino wanted to happen, and the movie is what Bandai/Sunrise wanted to happen. Either way, the outcome of this is up to the viewer, are Amuro and Char still out there watching things unfold? Or are they in Newtype heaven? Continuing this argument/fight for all eternity?
Big of trivia, but in the novel and a bunch of G Generation games its said that the one fed that tries to help a neo-zeon was apparently Yuu Kajima, the pilot of the Blue Destiny in the OYW.

what happened on the ending was that the Nu Gundam's psychoframe was overloaded and turned the Nu into a giant stream of light that carried Axis away. As for Char and Amuro, they're both probably in some crazy surrealistic world.

Amuro is dead. Nu Gundam blew up. Psychoframe overload.
Char lived. However the event left him brain damaged, and traumatized. That's why a few years later he puts on a mask and runs around calling himself Full Frontal.

@wwwpwndcom How exactly could they have survived? Amuro shifted the asteroid enough so it didn't send earth into a deep freeze but he still died. Their deaths released the energy necessary to shift it's trajectroy sufficiently with the T thing. It's obvious with the massive release of energy. It is released upon their deaths. Watch the movie Nanai senses it when the energy is released.
@Luigi84289 Watch the blue trail of light escaping the meteor @ 9:06, the only thing it could have been from would be the Nu Gundam as that was the only thing in the area. It is clearly seen flying away from the meteor.

@wwwpwndcom In the end...it is all opinion. Sunrise has not confirmed or denied Amuro's or Char's death. Either way...it doesn't matter. Chances are, since we have not seen them appear again, they are dead. But then again, who knows? I don't...and nigher do you. So why bother arguing? Their deaths have been argued for over twenty years, pretty impressive work my Tomino in my opinion.
Why argue about which pilots from different series are better? The way the creator made it, all lead pilots have certain skills they excel at more than anyone else. THat is what makes them as well as their respective series unique. It's not worth watching if all series had amazing pilots like Amuro and mobile suits such as 00 Raiser or TUrn a, that would just be watching pointless massacres of the antagonist factions.

AT 9:069:07 right side of the AXIS that is where they clearly show an engine trace down to earth. I can't 100% prove that it was NU-gundam but I can't find a good reason why they put that engine trace there at that moment if it not to give up a clue that they both escape ???

@VoidOmega222 Wing Zero is a powerful mobile suit and is good in the hands of Heero, but is hindered by the fact that it runs out of ammo. Gundanium IS stronger than any material used in UC, but that doesn't help much when used against Newtypes which are more stable than the Zero system which could kill the pilot. 00 Raiser, although frail, is a ridiculously powerful suit with potential. More advanced than UC suits. But setsuna is a pisspoor pilot. Think of it this way, what if Amuro got 00?
@VoidOmega222 00 raiser has a perpetual source of energy, and amazing mobility. How setsuna managed to lose to Reborns, I'll never know. I think in the right hands (I.E. not setsuna) it could beat any suit with the exception of turn A. Although I hate too admit it, the ability to turn tech to dust within such a large radius completely negates all the advantages 00 raiser has....
@detectiveconan996 00 raiser had a pair of genuine GN drives and a fully functional twin drive system which enhances said GN drives and their output, the GN weapons from 00's weapons were superior to reborns which did not have either. Reborns couldn't do half the things 00 could. The reason 00 lost was because ribbons was a better pilot.
(avoiding spoilers...) 'Newtypes' controled mobile bits - F funnels, I want to control mobile bits. Also precognition was more so a probability chain, further away = less likely.
Wonder if there is a chart comparing the different series' heightened awareness states / mobile suit adaptations - new type, innovator, what ever Bright Noa was (base whole career on letting kids steal top secret gundams, seems a bit fishy...), ntd, psycho frame, so on...
@Jetman123 Nope. Just stating raw facts that the 00 fans need to keep in mind before assuming that Setsuna is GOD tier within the Gundam metaverse; when in fact, he is, at most, mid-to-high tier at best ^_-
@VoidOmega222 He's no amazing pilot, in fact he lost a bunch of fights where he had the technological advantage (Aalvatore vs exia, 00 raiser vs reborns), but he has some of the strongest mobile suits in all of gundam which is probably why he survived. If it were amuro instead of setsuna, I doubt there would even have been a second season, and the ELS wouldn't have even killed as many people later on.
@VoidOmega222 Despite having all of these abilities and being possibly the second strongest newtype in the entirety of the UC series, Kamille was frequently bested by Yazan (a normal oldtype) until Kamille a "my friend died and I'm mad" power up. I don't know where you're getting indestructible shields from (closest thing is what Judau pulled at the end of ZZ by repowering the ZZ). Sorry, but Setsuna with the 00 Quanta is pretty much the most broken thing in Gundam next to the Turn A/X.
Well, Amuro was the best pilot in his stories and Kamille was the most powerful newtype, thats no doubt cause Tomino said this himself. I'm not judging who's the best, amuro, char, kamille, setsuna or even kira, taste's different for everyone. But to me, Amuro is a true hero, in every sense of word

The Bio-sensor of the Zeta is what eneabled Kamille to communicate with the dead and froze The O. gn particles and minovsky particles are very 2 different things, sure they do almost the same thing to mobile suits and acts as fuel and gn fuel and minovsky and in turn into a i-field or so on, but the difference is that gn drives create something that IS GN particles, minovsky cant, they juz turn it to the booster fuel and so on, they only thing they would convert something similar is beam weapons, minovsky can turn into a mega cannon and so can gn particles proven by virtue.

actually Minovsky particles can't even light up rocket engines. People in UC had to rely on CONVENTIONAL fuels to drive their suits. this is actually official and you will note that people in Unicorn has been talking about battery and fuel as TWO different things.
the reason why people in UC used minovsky particles for plasma was because it was readily available to be used, and there was a huge abundance of it since it came out of a fusion reactor.

@ChaosZero102 Oh I know, Tomino wanted them to die but Bandai and Sunrise felt that they were too important to the UC legacy so they left it ambiguous. Hence the two versions, the novel is what Tomino wanted to happen, and the movie is what Bandai/Sunrise wanted to happen. Either way, the outcome of this is up to the viewer, are Amuro and Char still out there watching things unfold? Or are they in Newtype heaven? Continuing this argument/fight for all eternity?

what happened on the ending was that the Nu Gundam's psychoframe was overloaded and turned the Nu into a giant stream of light that carried Axis away. As for Char and Amuro, they're both probably in some crazy surrealistic world.

@wwwpwndcom How exactly could they have survived? Amuro shifted the asteroid enough so it didn't send earth into a deep freeze but he still died. Their deaths released the energy necessary to shift it's trajectroy sufficiently with the T thing. It's obvious with the massive release of energy. It is released upon their deaths. Watch the movie Nanai senses it when the energy is released.

@Luigi84289 Watch the blue trail of light escaping the meteor @ 9:06, the only thing it could have been from would be the Nu Gundam as that was the only thing in the area. It is clearly seen flying away from the meteor.
As for Char, that's a different story. I don't see how he could have survived. He's most likely dead as shit.

Chances are, since we have not seen them appear again, they are dead. But then again, who knows? I don't...and nigher do you. So why bother arguing? Their deaths have been argued for over twenty years, pretty impressive work my Tomino in my opinion.

Why argue about which pilots from different series are better? The way the creator made it, all lead pilots have certain skills they excel at more than anyone else. THat is what makes them as well as their respective series unique. It's not worth watching if all series had amazing pilots like Amuro and mobile suits such as 00 Raiser or TUrn a, that would just be watching pointless massacres of the antagonist factions.

AT 9:06 9:07 right side of the AXIS that is where they clearly show an engine trace down to earth. I can't 100% prove that it was NU-gundam but I can't find a good reason why they put that engine trace there at that moment if it not to give up a clue that they both escape ???

@nobodiez13 He is listed dead on the wiki, in the novel interpretation of Char's Counterattack, where he was killed by Char's Newtype Corps. However in related games and Animation aka what we are all talking about, he is listed as MIA, and then to further support Amuro being alive everyone else summed it up saying only char was found in Unicorn.

Pay attention during the whole scene of Nu Gundam holding off Axis. You'll see that another stream of light ( thrusters of a mobile suit ) heads off into earth. I will admit, I MIGHT have gone overboard in the comparison...But really, people need to watch all the other gundams before saying things like "Wing Zero + Heero solos", "00 Raizer + Setsuna solos", or even "Strike Freedom + Kira solos"; when in reallity, the U.C. has over 200 YEARS of history to expand its tech and the power of the pilots!
And don't get me started on GOD Gundam and Turn A...they might as well be super robots >:)

@VoidOmega222 Wing Zero is a powerful mobile suit and is good in the hands of Heero, but is hindered by the fact that it runs out of ammo. Gundanium IS stronger than any material used in UC, but that doesn't help much when used against Newtypes which are more stable than the Zero system which could kill the pilot. 00 Raiser, although frail, is a ridiculously powerful suit with potential. More advanced than UC suits. But setsuna is a pisspoor pilot. Think of it this way, what if Amuro got 00?

I think in the right hands (I.E. not setsuna) it could beat any suit with the exception of turn A. Although I hate too admit it, the ability to turn tech to dust within such a large radius completely negates all the advantages 00 raiser has....

@detectiveconan996 00 raiser had a pair of genuine GN drives and a fully functional twin drive system which enhances said GN drives and their output, the GN weapons from 00's weapons were superior to reborns which did not have either. Reborns couldn't do half the things 00 could. The reason 00 lost was because ribbons was a better pilot.

@VoidOmega222 He's no amazing pilot, in fact he lost a bunch of fights where he had the technological advantage (Aalvatore vs exia, 00 raiser vs reborns), but he has some of the strongest mobile suits in all of gundam which is probably why he survived. If it were amuro instead of setsuna, I doubt there would even have been a second season, and the ELS wouldn't have even killed as many people later on.

@VoidOmega222 Despite having all of these abilities and being possibly the second strongest newtype in the entirety of the UC series, Kamille was frequently bested by Yazan (a normal oldtype) until Kamille a "my friend died and I'm mad" power up. I don't know where you're getting indestructible shields from (closest thing is what Judau pulled at the end of ZZ by repowering the ZZ). Sorry, but Setsuna with the 00 Quanta is pretty much the most broken thing in Gundam next to the Turn A/X.

Chan in the movie with a psychoframe completely blocks a shot from the Alpha Azareiu.
In the novel Beltochicka's Children, Amuro's son is able to form a mental barrier around him when he was still in his mother's womb.
Some newtypes can do it, albeit it takes a really strong one. Or possibly a psychoframe. However the 00 Quanta is beyond broken.

The Bio-sensor of the Zeta is what eneabled Kamille to communicate with the dead and froze The O. Setsuna spoke to Lockon and Chris and Lichty (even if it was a vision) plus it is clearly established that Innovators don't need the 00 Raiser in order to use they're abilities when Setsuna like Tieria, Allelujah, and Marie can sense quantum brainwaves. Shaman was shown to even read minds.
