  • Would you be able to fit a cosworth crate engine in a mini? (may soundstupid but just wondering)

  • @mukers you mean a yb cosworth ??, you could but to fit it in the back you would need to find a transaxle type gearbox to power it or you could use a mtx75 (fwd type) gearbox from the mondeo, focus ect but they wont take masses of power, or you could fit it in the front and run it on a normal t5 gearbox but that would require a whole lot of cutting custom subframe custom propshaft ect ect, and the cossy engines are heavy so not really worth bothering honda or bike engines really are the best way

  • @rs200000000000 obvviously to fit it in the back would require alot of work too, just dont go there cossy engine has a well deserved home in the sierra's and escorts, if you wonna do something like that do a escort mk1/2 cossy swap or cortina mk1/2 or even anglia there light cars already rwd so your half way there also if you wanted an engine thats abit cheaper the sr20det and gearbox from the 200sx s14's or even the ca18det from the s13 work well, and there dirt cheap easy too tune

  • whats the hp of the one at the end ?

  • @Finlayenzo 160 at the wheels

  • the one @ 3:03 was a bit of a let down, all that noise, RWD, i was expecting 100bhp+ lol

  • it is_ 141bhp

  • Don't even think about a honda engine.. i would go for a Morspeed conversion, a Mini with a Morspeed engine would smoke any civic in the world!!.

  • ian lonsdale, you seriously need to consider a power adder.. such as a honda engine.

  • @zabcod gayyyy
