I agree definately one of the best film opening i ever seen and good music too. when i first saw this film i knew this bullet would end up being shot and killing someone i just didnt think it would be an african child
AK 47's don't use 7.62 caliber bullets anymore. They use a bullet similar in size to an M16 23 caliber nowadays. American snipers still uses 7.62 cal. bullets, though, in M-14 rifles.
This movie dears to paint a picture of how shitty the world is. And it didn't have a happy love story, cool explosions enough, and the hero didn't kill the bad guy. Who got away.
Good movie or not, how can critics admit that they like this? :(
Notice how the film always Shows European arms and ammo being bought and sold, LOL No USA Munitions? Strange because the USA is the biggest arms dealer in the world...
Nice analogy of yourself, we know you're an Idiot, now Fuck off, and do some reading bell fuck.

Although I agree that in most films inadequate attention is paid to America's arms production, I'm not so sure what you said applies to this movie. I seem to remember several scenes involving a U.S. military officer involved in gun running and one which featured a huge pile of American assault rifles in Lebanon. In addition, the end scene of the film explicitly affirms America as the worlds primary arms manufacturer.
about hte ending, i recently read a book about a guy who was a soldier when he was only 13. its incredible that kids even younger than 13 are forced into hte army either by abuse or drug use and are manipulated into violent killing
@gangstamdb I hate his acting too, but thought he was okay in this one because his character was SUPPOSED to be an asshole you love to hate. Probably the only movie of his that i liked.
Wow I saw this movie about a year ago and I forgot the name but I remembered the opening so I spent almost 2 hours trying to find the opening so I can see this movie. One of my favourites. Most original kind of opening.

This is probably the most memorable opening sequence to a movie I've ever seen. The song fits with this opening so well, the perfect combination.

u idiot; those are 762x39s. At the time the movie is set those were considered "commie bullets" and were made in the USSR mostly. The US used 556x45

@happymana AK47, the most numerous, most effective, most reliable weapon, hails from the old days of Soviet Russia.
There are more AKs than any other firearm, and the amount of people killed by AK47s is uncountable.
They fire the 7.62x39mm round. There is no weapon ever used by the United States that fires that round. Nice try though!
