  • Batfink first debuted on Nickelodeon in 1996 as a part of Weinerville starring Marc Weiner from Dora the Explorer.

  • You can't hurt me; My wings are like a shield of steel!

  • Love to see Christopher Nolan's take on this...

  • oh, wow! i used to watch that as a kid! in fact this was my favorite cartoon!

brings back many good memories. thanks for uploading

  • Ah Batfink, another classic I used to watch when I was a kid.

  • Personally I don't know how the car survived =P

  • Yeah, this show is from the 60's, but it was re-aired in the 80's and 90's (which allowed me to see it.)

  • 1966 according to the Roman numerals. What's that you say???

  • Batfink's car, obviously a modified Volkswagen Beetle, is called the Batillac, a play on words with a completely different car. Never realized that as a kid, but that's pretty funny.

  • Never heard this version before the intro we watched in the U.K. was different for some reason.

  • i dont know what u are saying and who likes this char toon but its so awesome its like a chartoon wich children laugh when wach it and thay had nice time look the char toons now its like Pokemon yu-gi-oh and so much more stupid char toons wich make children go and buy uselees stuf !!! i think Batfink rules and monster mash and much more 80s char toons!!!!

  • I used to love this show as a kid, watched it after school with a bowl of cornflakes

  • this show was just tragic ....... ha ha his side kick was a karate guy...... just terrible.......but it would still kick ass of anything made after 2001

  • @givmespace Yeah, Karate kinda sounds like Curly from the three stooges.

  • Yeah, what happened to..

"your bullets cant harm me, my wings are like a shield of steel"

  • cool song, love the bluesy melody at the end

  • hahaso funny i'm sure i seen his on some channel last year suck a batman/inda rip off plus the bad guy had an uber weird hairdo haha fucking shit...try sharkey and george :)

  • THIS IS BULLSHIT!!!! WHERE IS THE SPEECH ABOUT HAVING THE WINGS OF STEEL?!?!?

*keeps the youtube search alive for the wings of steel*

  • I hated this cartoon growing up. His best line of defence was "My wings are like a shield of steel" We had no choice but to watch it. Cable tv never existed for us back then and we only had one tv station.

  • OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this brings back memories !! i used to watch this show all the time when i was a kid !!

  • yeah because it aired from 1966-1967 66

  • I prefer the intro when they show it on CBBC.

  • me too, somebody should do a remix of it like they did with pingu, thomas the tank engine and super mario etc.. that would be ace.

  • @BoyLink100 Child, this is from the olden days

    CBBC Sucks... old programs ftw

  • 1960s for christ sakes not 80s

  • true, i nvr seen 1st ep, cept on abc 4:5pm when i was 16 lol, my uncle made mw watch it the Dr. Who love both for diff reasons lol

  • Well, it did air in the 80's in the UK. Naff, naff, naff. Really should have been left in the 60's.

  • Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas says:

"Don't give up. You only get what you give."

  • That is actually from The NEw Radicals.

  • Love this theme song!

  • Mi Radar Sonar Supersonico Podra Ayudarme. (Beep,Beep,Beep)

  • the repeats have been on CBBC (childs bbc) and they are pretty good, but i tend not to like this sort of animation, i dont know what its called but its the same cheap kind of animatio they used for Danger mouse, just al round a very cheap looking rushed cartoon for children.GREAT TUNE THOUGH.

also in panning shots you can tell in both DM and BF that its just a large canvas and the image is not constantly changing and the use of a dark room and white eyes cuts on expenses as well

  • It's just typical 1960s TV animation. It is usually referered to as "Limited Animation". It all looked like that at the time. Yes it was "cheap" as you so simply put it, but unlike digital animation today, every cell had to be drawn and painted and photographed. Comparitively speaking, drom 1960s dollars to 2000+ dollars, todays's digital animation for Tv and internet today is actually cheaper to create than a show like BATFINK was in the 60s.

  • That bassline gets me all the time!

  • 1980s???? This show was from the 60s!

    MJB

  • Yeah MCMLXVI is 1966

  • @mjbivouac Yes. The copyright date at the beginning says 1966.

  • Lol I love this cartoon...is there a dvd set?

  • I love Batfink! MY WINGS ARE LIKE A SHEILD OF SSSSSSTTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!

  • That's right, 'pbatommy'- Frank Buxton, the voice of "Batfink", was indeed a game show host in 1964, on ABC's Goodson-Todman daytime show "GET THE MESSAGE"- but only for a brief period. He was better known for co-hosting "DISCOVERY" (with Virginia Gibson) on ABC's Sunday morning schedule in the mid-'60s.

  • Instead of coming out with this classic stuff on DVD, they should just broadcast stuff like this on TVLand every Saturday morning

  • But then we would be living in the past.

  • love this cartoon i got the boxset to this its great

  • Is the Screen Gems "S from Hell" kept in any episodes?

  • Batfink was from the 1960's; not the 1980's. I should know because I used to watch this cartoon when I was only nine years old.

  • I always loved this cartoon and this intro thanks to "Weinerville" on Nickelodeon!

  • This was the later intro, there was an earlier one, and my age would definately put it into the '60s category LOL !

  • I always remebers the original opening and i'm in my 20's. The later edits removed any reference to guns even within the episodes themselves, which totally ruined it.

  • How about the DVD set, are the episodes restored?

  • Yes thay are, apart from a confusing but un-noticable edit in 'Big Ears Ernie' near the cement scene.

  • yer they are all 100 eposodes

  • Who do you think would get the lead role if they made a Batfink movie? I`d go for Matt Damon

  • Shhhh....don't give them any ideas...

  • ummm... BatFink was from the 1960's, not the 1980's.

  • How would he do if he got into a scrap with underdog?

  • Batfink was once a game show host.

  • Aw man! I remember watching this on Weinerville. Great show =D

  • it is like he is talking like this iqugioeqtdeqwietqiwteq8etq8

  • FAKE!!!!!

  • I love Batfink!

  • I used to love Batfink as a kid but I REALLY dont remember that intro, I just remember that last little bit when it showed the name of the episode. Someone post a full episode? My weeengs are like sheeeeilds of steeeel

  • The night is full of holes

    Those bullets rip the sky

  • I can feeeeeeeel

  • im at a place called virtigo...

  • its everything i wish i didn't know
