its the italian pro league, it boggles my mind how people know so little about roller hockey and how competitive it is. Ive been playing travel since i was ten. I played in national tournaments every year and I now play in college for a division 1 school. Its not NCAA but its probably the best college roller league there is in the world. Im thinking about playing goal in italy later myself.
this is probably at some world championship, it looked like italy national team vs spain maybe? and the size of the nets makes me believe its a FIRS sanctioned tournament... maybe last years world championships in germany?
if you have seen 12 year olds that can play at this level it must be a pretty good league... only pros play this kind of tournaments...

Yeah I didn't like that save cuz its dumb lol I mean there was no reason to do that, get in position and that would have never had to happen. Never good when your goalie has to make a save out of desperation which thats what that was.

why is everybody ripping on this guy cuz he isnt setting up and telescoping ect.that was an acrobatic and awsome save, it doesnt mean he is great. i go to most devils game, and even though marty does make some sick saves, he is one of the best positional goalies in the leauge and posibly all time, but who doesnt want to see desperation saves
I'v made better saves that one sucked he is so stupid cause he was totally out of position and he was totally lucky cause he swung his stick around and was lucky enough to hit the puck
You can't be more aggressive with your poke check then the goalie was in this video because with no ability to slide in roller its too easy to get caught out.

@connorstewarthurst nah its just a roller hockey puck. it has pegs on it to reduce friction. fly pucks are not good for shooting

Paused it right before he spun. To me it look like a failed attempt to poke check. Thats why he spun around.
And the best goalies in NHL (Brodeur, Hasek) never give up and give it their all.
Overall it was nice but be more aggressive with your first pokecheck. Good recovery but could have been avoided.
