  • Damn why you gotta short shift it ...

  • What a pussy, fuck the beep man its not gonna eat you if you dont shift -.-

  • Nice shifting. Seems like you power shifted.

  • do they still produce the same amount horsepower if u shift above the recommended RPM?????

  • hmm... you can drive your STI harder you know that right? The STI's are meant to be driven. HARD! :)

  • whoa you went over 200, where was this?

  • I like STi's BEEP!

  • never the less nice car! Stock?

  • was that pedal to the metal even over 200km/h?

  • Holy short shifting batman!!!

  • first thing i would do is rip out that stupid Beep!

  • Dude, don't obey the shift signal lol.

  • oohhh how nice it has a cute light and a cute beep that tells you when to shift, manual tranny for dummies!!

  • Are the STI's and Evo's fast when passing, let's say 50-70mph I know they aren't top end cars.

  • @29ryan49 Coolest part is entering and exiting corners but are they fast as compared to what?

  • @FarmersAreCool I know they aren't known for top end speed, so I wanna know if they are quick when it comes to rolling starts, passing traffic when your lane is about to merge, passing a couple cars at a time on single laned roads.

  • @29ryan49 sti's don't have as much top end as other really fast cars. These cars are PERFECT for passing. Even in stock form they are tons of fun.

  • your shifting a bit too soon there man

  • whats this auto stuff......

  • The worst shifting i've ever seen!!!!

  • @memo866

stock turbo has no balls after 5500.

  • @FarmersAreCool

Nevertheless you will accelerate faster if you go higher than 5500. There is still more "pulling force"(sry for my english) at the tyres with lower gear than with the next gear.

Every gearstep looses power for accerleration. Especially the 1. and 2. gear you should rev to max. in nearly every car.

  • @FarmersAreCool "stock turbo has no balls" made me just rofl

  • @memo866 maby he dosent want t blow his trans or red line it!

  • garbage

  • Damn 230kn/h. My 08 WRX is governed to 220km/h

  • Fuck yeah nice man only if we cud do that in australia hahaha

  • @souljaboiy1 what's stopping you?

  • @FarmersAreCool 1. the cops 2. the rule of the car being crushed if caught at high speed hooning :| gay i kno

  • @FarmersAreCool the cops fuck you up so bad here, theyve made a new law so now they can crush your car

  • why set it at 5,250 ....

  • i would be interesting to see this in a US gauge cluster with the gas needle slowly moving toward the E...

  • fucking sexy yo!

  • You have your shift light set the same as mines!

  • 0:28

    200 km/h...

    Changing Camera Position :D

    Nice :D

  • @MrJiggaHone

You should see me running down

    backroads haha.

  • Yeah :D

  • how cute, it beeps for you xD

  • @bmw2go11 nigger, you're retarded. You set the beep where you want it, or you can turn it off. You could set it at 1,800 RPM or 8,000 RPM. We now know that you are a poor fag.

  • WOW!! how did you make the beeper louder??? My god!! impressive!! I am very interested, please tell me how!!

  • @manifester77 : I think it's just because the camera is so close to his cluster.

  • My parents have an 08 sti. love the car, but its not fast on the high way. 0-60 its great but after that not so much.

  • Take it offroad then.

  • BBAAAAMMM a deer pops out lol he is screwed

  • gov't limited top speed?

  • looks like wind drag. I have seen 08 STi maxing out at slightly over 160mph at 7rpm in 6th gear.

  • what did u top out at stock? im reading a lil over 140 on stage one cobb?

and i bet there was a bunch of flies on your front after, depending where you live lol

    good run

  • it not very fast

  • i mean ...after 5rpm

  • hi.. i have 2008 to... but my spedometer not sound like u after 7rpm? what's the difference?

  • stage 1 cobb

  • All stock??

  • I think that a 5500 change is better for the feeling you get, cause with the next gear you are in the middle of the highest torgue (~4000). But for highest output (HP) and acceleration a 6500 change is a must. The difference in numbers is small though.

I own the same car (stock). Shifting right at 6500 (Sport #) is difficult on 1st and 2nd, cause hitting the limiter is very easy. Needs practice...

Setting the red light at ~6000 might help.

  • why he shift so early

  • Doesn't pull hard after 5500

  • it may be true but its alot more fun to rev till just before the red line don't u think?

  • it is more fun, i'll admit that, but it's not as fast :[

  • no, your stupid

  • damn you already have 25,000 miles on it? shit

  • kms man

  • oh yea. whoops didnt pay attention to the speedometer lol my bad

  • look decently fast, i own a 08 ms3 and it look just as fast as mine but i know the AWD just make it much better....still absolutly love my ms3 but i would like to try one of those

  • This is a RHD correct?

  • Left hand

  • So it always tells you to shift at 5k rpm?

  • Until I can figure out how to change that crap. It's annoying.

  • Is that the best shift point for the most power? Seems like such a low rev range.

  • 2nd and 3rd doesn't seem worth going for redline. Just high enough to shift and still be on the turbo. after 5500-6000, before I got my downpipe on, was pretty limp. Would be nice to have the Japanese 2.0L motor and rev to 8000 though :)

  • Yeah, too bad the JDM twinscroll does not meet US emission standards. What crap.

  • read the owners manual. the car has to be off, then you hit the trip meter button and set it that way.

  • were u flooring it in 6th gear. u dont have to change wen that light goes on just redline it through all the gears but as soon as u hit the redline change

  • Wasn't completely floored. There doesn't seem to be much point redlining it for each gear change, the stock turbo seems to run out of high end nut. Was using the dinging as an indication as I was holding the camera in front of the cluster.

  • you change the shift warning light by depressing the tach reset and hold it for a couple of sec, then like a digital watch idea use the same tach reset switch to choose what rpm you want the light and sound. or turn it off completly

  • beautiful

  • what a weiner

  • lets see the road man

  • In the works.
