  • Yeah Khan idol was Ahab from the book Moby Dick. Also the shuttle he landed on seta-alpha 6 was called the Bottney Bay.Star Trek seems to have been influenced as a whole from the story Moby Dick. Also watch StarTrek First Contact when Picard fights with the black women and smashes all the federation ships in that glass display watch what he says and decide if Im right lol."PICARD DRAWS THE LINE" will bring it up to watch.

  • 1864 was the year Moby Dick was written.LOL.You see it says 1864 above relient?

  • @Phantom14ify holy crap I never realized that

  • how did kahn know a Klingon proverb? hmmm lets see they found them in space then sent them to a planet. Did he have time to meet a Klingon?

  • @eville62 Crazy. I just watched this movie last week and thought the same thing.

  • I agree that this film could use some serious enhancement with CGI to bring it into the quality of today's Fx movies, but I think your ships might use a little more work in detail.. But what I saw here was on the right track.

  • χαχαχα ωραιοι υποτιλοι...

  • That'd be funny if Captain Kirk said: "Jesus fucking christ!!! It's Khan!!!"

  • I appreciate you wanting to do something here. But you ruined probably one of my favorite sci-fi battles of all time.

  • "Genesis, what's that?" LOL

  • I'm ready to watch the whole movie now.

  • Hell, it's all Greek to me.

  • It's a shame that Shatner and Montalban never actually had face to face scene in ST two.

  • @dustysweeper - U know i never even thought of that. Your right !

  • @mti six shooter Funnily enough I sat and watched ST 2 last night with ma boys, they loved it....

On Montalban's wiki page he said that it was the one thing he regretted about the film but said that he felt the film was a career highlight even though he was already a very well established actor.

  • Wait. Khan apparently damaged this video too...

  • That idiot should've ordered Red Alert and raised shields the instant he realised something was wrong.

  • @Seattlecarnut would've been a battle to the death at that point. Movie over right then and there. Enterprise would've owned Reliant had Kirk raised shields and gone to Red Alert. Then again Khan would've probably had first strike. Would've been interesting to have both ships fully charged with shields up duking it out.

  • @shaithis80 Exactly!

  • @Seattlecarnut well after all there was General Order 12. Every starfleet Admiral should have been familiar with general orders. I know it is hard taking suggestions from an unattractive fat actress....er uh excuse me attractive Vulcan female bridge officer with a regulation hairstyle but come on. General Order 12 man.Sounds like Kirk was embarassed and tried to save face by going in with shields down thus causing the unncessary death of a crewman who stayed at his post while the trainees ran.

  • @shaithis80 I agree with you on most things. Except I thought Lt Saavik was attractive and smart. What I thought was stupid was the fact that Kirk went in without raising shields. Even given his rank as Admiral, he should've known that in possible enemy situations, to raise shields and go to Red Alert until he knows what the hell's going on.

  • @Seattlecarnut well Spock did try to warn him that it was a mistake for him to have accepted promotion. Would you believe it that Spock was right. I think a lot of deaths could've been prevented including Spock's death where damage to the Enterprise would not have been as severe had Kirk gone to Red Alert, raised shields, and charged weapons. I agree with you, but perhaps the real blame is on whoever wrote the script. It really did take away from Kirk's experiences in the captain's chair.

  • @shaithis80 Indeed it would've.

  • i wish they hadn't killed khan...we hardly knew thee..

  • Enhanced MY ASS! This sucks! Very lame. What did you do this on? An apple ll, or an Amstrad 8086

  • This is damn peculiar

  • this clip is running a little too fast -- the voices have a higher pitch than they should

  • WTF! How is this "Enhanced"? As Bugs Bunny would say, "What a maroon!"

  • I take shits that are more enhanced than this.

  • film would have been over at the end of this scene had Kirk ordered Spock to override Reliant's safeies and either auto destruct her or bleed all the air out into space

  • yep this is cg shit

  • If enhanced = sucks ass then you Sir have scored!!!

  • Hahaha, it's a testament to the original ST crew that the original beats this out. No negativity though, a solid attempt but the original is the best.

  • Rich cardathian leather!

  • hahaha ENHANCED right.....

  • ENHANCED BY BAD CGI??? I HAVE NEWS FOR YOU. THE SPECIAL EFFECTS STILL HOLD UP TODAY! IN FACT THEY LOOK AND PACK MORE EMOTION THAN ANY SOULLESS CG CREATION EVER COULD!

  • I never seen star trek this look interesting from the other comments is this fake?Is it worth buying or is this not the movie, this clip looks cool.Kahn(riccardo) is a good actor I'd like to know if it's worth watching.Someone please let me know thanks.

  • she was right

  • I had a bad dream, my soaked sheets... its ok ok....... ok, just a nightmare

  • The Imagequality... ...what a mess!

  • This is seriously the worst shit I've ever seen in my life, and I sat through the Wing Commander movie.

  • I agree. CHEAP PC GAME. YUK Bad move.

  • It should say "Star Trek II - The Wrath Of Khan Cartooned"

  • I think "enhanced" is a little too strong a word. Enhanced is supposed to mean that something is made better, but the cheap 3D animations and over-dubbed sound effects just make this clip cheesy.

  • wow that looks really bad

  • Screw all anti-enhanced comments.

  • All the people that gave thumbs up to this abomination all qualify for government (NUTTY) checks. And to the maker of this stuff, please get rid of light-wave 3D and go back to learning your ABC's and 123's again.

  • @abanks1959 FUCK OFF YOU FUCKING WASTE OF FUCKING SPACE TROLL!

The video is okay! Thumbs up everyone if this FUCKING TROLL needs KHAN Phasering up the FUCKING TROLL ASSHOLE!!

  • this looks like shit

  • ATTENTION TO OP! STOP STEALING MEDICATION OUT YOUR MOM'S PURSE. WHAT ARE YOU RUNNING THIS ON????? A RUBBER BAND, A PAPER CLIP AND ONE ROCK. THIS IS PURE SHIT. NEVER DO THIS SHIT EVER AGAIN. U WILL BE BANNED FROM YOU TUBE. AND PLEASE STICK TO WHAT YOU ONLY GOOD AT....MASTURBATION.

  • @UFOSPACE1999 Looks like the FUCKKNG TROLL here closed his waste of space account! Fucking coward couldn’t stick around to face the music!

  • cheezy

  • Cgi?from what a Commodore 64= ????

  • Purely organic, non-CG special effects are far superior to CG, unless you use CG to simply touch-up and augment the organic effects, which is how you use CG *well*.

  • Proof that models are better than CGI.

  • HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!

  • more "enhanced" than anything ILM had to offer? …. please stop smoking crack

  • How does this look better sir? CG1 does not automatically its better then the models.

  • 'Enhanced' must mean something different to you Greek types, because by no stretch of the English language was that 'enhanced.'

  • Not bad, but could have been better.

  • CRAP. TOTAL CRAP.

  • It's like making the ships into...well let's say..........a cheap slut.

  • This is quite awful. I need to rewatch the movie to get these crappy effects out of my mind.

  • dunno if I'd call this "enhanced" but I like the idea.

  • the model work done in trek 2 was the best in all the films, nice and dark and metallic, not all white and overlit like neon christmas ornaments.

  • I don't care about the "enhancements".I laughed my ass off with the subtitles.

  • Kirstie Alley before she became the size of the Earth.... NICE!

  • its like paint over the Mona Lisa. YOU DONT MESS WITH THE ORIGINAL!

    it sucks

  • The original has good effects. Despite being made in the 80's, the models are brilliant.

    This looks crap

  • A for effort, but the original is the best.

  • Well yeah the effects look pretty poor compared to the original - but RESPECT for the effort man!!!

  • Star Trek II: The Last Starfighter!

  • Comment removed

  • Lame enhancement is lame.

  • Not even close to ILM's stellar work, and that was 28 years ago!

  • Comment removed

  • This is yet another reason that models are far superior to computer FX.

  • Don't mess with a classic.

  • I thought it was fantastic! Wait, wrong video. This looked like you took a shiz on the screen, let it run down, and then took a Twinkie and rubbed in circles. I wouldn't be surprised if you then ate that twinkie.

  • Kirk! Their coil emissions are normal! Raise shields you fool!

  • looks like a cheap knock off from the babylon 5 cgi

  • yea this is poor.. I would rather have it in 3D

  • WOW! The video graphics looks like it went back in time 20 years...to the Original Series.

  • @Forlo12345 Star Trek did do a lot of time travel.

  • looks like scar trek the next laceration lol

  • The second phaser volley from the Enterprise hit the Reliant's Impulse Drive crystal, not the dome of the Reliant's main control room (which DID get a direct hit in the Mutara Nebula battle).

  • Hmm

It is a game called Star Trek Legacy , isn't it ?

  • Wow that was a great alternative view on the spaceship visual effects. The sound of the phaser impacting into the starboard side of the Enterprise gave my JBL sound system a good workout in Dolby stereo.

  • @EmpireLS56KW You need to learn your left from your right. Port-side is left and starboard-side is right.

  • @abanks1959 Fuck off you TROLL! I know the difference between port and starboard I had other fucking things on my mind back when I posted the comment, you fucking TROOL!

    FIRE! ON THAT FUCKING TROLL!

  • i wish i could understand the subs! any chance of an english version?

  • I think it greek- or similar

  • @ papercutpictures

    Maybe the subtitles are Greek???

  • 5:37 Was that a 'happy face' ???? LOL

  • The subtitles certainly are amusing at times. That certainly is not the translation for "Where's the override?"

  • Comment removed

  • I noticed that the Reliant's phasers changed angles between shots in a most impossible way.

  • You guys, you have to be Greek to get how funny this is... at least the subtitles!

    Φίλε, οι υπότιτλοι τα σπάνε!!!

  • Ummm I'm Greek and they read just fine to me. Not perfect but pretty decent.

Τα CGI είναι άλω πράγμα, χειρότερα και από ένα πρόγραμμα του ΕΡΤ-1... :)

  • I suspect it's a gag folks.

    Chill.

  • Your CG work is very nice. Although, I still think the original looks better. Keep at it!

  • @tlwll Don't lye to the dude, that CGI stonk. Although it is good to say keep at it and you'll get it.

  • What the hell is that? "Enhanced"? That's ridiculous. It looks like a cheap pc-game. The original is a million times better.

  • What was the point of this? Ever see "The Thing (1981)"? This era was the PEAK of special effects WITHOUT some ass sitting at a computer. Craftsmen , lighting gaffs, modellers , camera men . Motion control . The crap they produce today , is NOT a craft . Study the silent film era till 1980. It WAS a progession in "craftmenship" to reach this point . CG - Lazy man's work. Compared to the SKILL put into one minute of true production of this time. GAFM - Does anyone who post here study film ??????

  • I'm sorry, are you trying to insult one of the greatest movies ever made?

  • That might be the single most true comment ever posted to YouTube.

  • Funny you should mention the Thing, seeing as how Stan Winston is responsible for the glory of that film, embraced CG later on, and even started up his own digital effects studio in the 90s that's running alongside his more traditional visual effects branch.

"Does anyone here study film?" How about does anyone here study history in order to adapt to the future? Stan Winston certainly did, RIP.

  • Amen. Although I didn't see "The Thing," I do understand that movie effects were painstakingly difficult, took real imagination, and were totally worth it. A perfect example of Now/Then is Star Wars.

  • poor and why is the drive plasma purple and turquoise in the nacells

  • Why is it that anytime anyone does this kind of thing they're in region 2 and using a PAL copy of the film that is sped up? The speed increase in all your videos must give you more time cumulatively for projects like this. But to the American ear it sounds like the Chipmunks.

  • This "enhanced" edition looks ten times worse than the original scenes with the studio models.

  • you can tell this is foreign, the models look like the Chinese made them in slave labor camps for children...boo, terrible, boo

  • Nice shots, terrible terrible models. And higher-resolution is a must.

  • hi fans, oonce again enhanced my foot theese are tv edits from previous editions only star trek motion picture truly restored

    than previous

  • Looks okay, the extra sounds added during the shooting were okay, but the first shot of Reliant had the red lights for a reason, to look EVIL

  • Effects may not be better per se, but I like the increased camera shots and angles. This was nice work!

  • haha The speed that the audio track plays makes me think this was cut from a laserdic copy.

  • Interesting. Although the ship models are of lesser quality than the original physical models, I can at least see what you were wanting out of this. A little more dynamics in the ship maneuvering, to make the battles just a little more riveting. A good effort. :) Still far better than I can manage at this point.

  • the wrath of khan is perfect the way it is. the battle in the mutara nebula is still amazing to me

  • Dude, "enhanced" means "better".

Nice effort, but your effects are not better.

  • Not bad. But I recommend that you use better models next time. I recommend that you go to bcfiles dot comm, look for some models and get the author's permission. :-)

  • The exterior images of both ships, including the phaser fire, looks absolutely ridiculous! In essence, this cheap facsimile is totally defacing the REAL, and ORIGINAL Star Trek MASTERPIECE that was originally depicted back in 1982!

  • This Is the Best Enhanced ST2:WOK space scene ever made, it is accurate when under a dogfight. I love the enhanced visual and sound fx, AWESOME, this made me jump out of my seat literally!!!! DAMN!!!

I would like this to be on the new Enhanced DVD/Blu-Ray!!! (no joke)

Man, this will get my money's worth if i have this in my collection.

  • your models and animation are good but you need work on your particle effects, rendering lighting, and materials A for effort

  • Original effects are best.

  • i thought yellow alert raises shields but not weapons?

  • Kirsty Alley was the hottest Vulcan ever.

  • No. "Yellow Alert" simply means that the ship is put on "General Quarters."

All battle systems are put on alert. Doors and hatches are closed and secured on alert for battle. Photon Torpedoes are brought to ready and the ship's phasers are raised to standby. Shields and deflectors on standby.

"RED ALERT" means battle systems are brought to full readiness, weapons armed and targeted. Shields and deflectors up. "BATTLESTATIONS!" means what Adama would call "Action Stations."

  • Partially correct, Yellow alert means that the defence fields are brought up and/or the deflector shields can be raised, so in this clip they bring up the defence fields but not the deflector shields: "In this status, a ship's defense fields are energized, and/or the deflector shields are brought to full power, however the weapons systems remain off-line. "

  • the film version is far better....this looks like a computer-simulated storyboard to show the special-effects supervisor what is required.

  • i give you mad respect for attempting this.

  • "Enhanced" ?

IT looks worst than the original in every way.

  • @Reclaimer77 It's "Enhanced" because an unaltered version would get deleted for copyright violations :D

  • @Reclaimer77 I agree.

  • Where are the stars in the background?

  • Other then that, excellent try.

  • A lot of technical errors here. Namely the movie era ships don't have glowing warp engines unless they're at warp.

  • The ships look good from a distance, but the low resolution of the video makes the ships look kinda un-textured or un-shaded or something closer up.

  • Hrmm,..the picture is a bit fuzzy, but I think it looks promising. Keep up the good work!
