Only human beings, who know not what will occur tomorrow can pretend and theorize what occurred BILLIONS of years ago. PLEASE.. some people are too naive. The whole "scientific" community and discoveries are STRICTLY based off the ASSUMPTION that the earth is BILLIONS of years old, it's also what we base our "dating" techniques off of. @Mr3Thinker well lets say there is no god and look back to the big bang... if you look at the history of it and how powerful that explosion was, it all makes sence if you just look at it in a different way. Know why the big bang happened, know what an explosion of that magnitude could cause (the universe started real small, after the explosion the universe expanded 1 trillion times its old mass (estimate) this explosion could set all the events leading up to today to happen. no fairy tale can.

@Mr3Thinker well, at the beginning there was only hydrogen and helium, the 2 basic elements. the big bang made such a force that it made things attracted to eachother, gravity. this condensed everything. Nebulas formed and protostars formed eventually these protostars ignited and started the main sequence. inside a star there is so much heat and pressure that the helium and hydrogen atoms in those atoms collided and smashed into eachother with enough force to break them apart, nuclear fusion.

@Mr3Thinker the only logical reason the universe exists and is expanding is from an explosion. that explosion came from a hot and dense ball made of hydrogen (mostly) and helium. Remember that hydrogen is very explosive (hydrogen bombs) and that hydrogen reacted and exploded. now the universe was now bigger, and made up of mostly hydrogen and helium. Some of your questions are becoming difficult, ask a scientist or read a book about it if you want to know more.

@daberko120ch I Did read about it .. according to science, it says in the beginning there was Dust .. according to Christianity it says ( In The Beginning There was GOD ) , I Chose in the beginning was God. the world , the universe, our lives, our futures all is meaningless if there is God, all is meaningless if there is no eternal life. what is the point of going to school? what is the point of getting married and having kids and raising them?

@Mr3Thinker this fusion created new elements, and when the stars explode at the end of their life cycle (supernova) they spew them out, many elements can be formed (all the way up to Fe - iron) thats as dense as stars can make in the main sequence, denser elements are made during the accual supernovae. I was never much religious but i was once a christian, it took a while to accept it but with more studdying on the subject it makes more sence.
