When I got mine 9 years ago, I had to do a lot of work "replace bearings, wiring etc." Aside form the odd issue that will arise, the bike has been rock solid and still goes like a raped ape! I doubt it ran or looked any better the day it rolled off the showroom floor.
@derringer007 correction: the fastest production sportbike init's class, and in it's time. The ZX-11 held that title for liter bikes, from 1992 to 1998, then the Hayabusas came. I miss my air-cooled GPZ750, 'tho. Be wild to get a turbo model and race it at the strip!
hidden la couverture comme tu l'apelle est une piece "boxer bike" rare et difficile a trouver je la cherche aussi , mais je crois que je vais la fabriquer comme un amis a fait!
The widow maker was the '69 Kawasaki H1 Triple. It had a terrible suspension setup and drum brakes front and rear. Its power was around 57HP and it weighed nothing.
And the GPz 750 Turbo was the bike that defeated Turbo lag, by putting the Turbo in front of the engine in line with the exaust, instead of re-routing the exaust and putting the Turbo behind the engine in line with the intake manifold.
@HiddenFromSight Sure, any Gpz you get is going to be old, and will probably require some maintenance effort. Hoses, bearings, etc. will be worn out. OTOH, the bike is very reliable and robust.
You really have to understand the history of the Kawasaki bikes from the '80s. There were THE superbikes. Nothing else came close, and they are still some of the best bikes out there. With decent riders, an '86 GPz 750 can beat a lot of todays 750s.

Nice Bike, had a 1985 Gpz550. Held its own. Question tho, why the "Top Gun" referance? The bike used in that movie was a Gpz900 (Ninja).
