Ah- does she ever get any better seems everything Lucinda does is restless and so soulful. She is a great when comes to intimate times good or bad or indifferent - poetic charm.
@gizmizer relax, I'll be proprietary and say I don't want 800,000 hits (fame kills) as I don't want her to ever lose her edge and songwriting chops. Fuck the masses.
Some very strong n emotive lyrics that can ring a bell if you have been lucky enough to have enjoyed certain things that happen when you talk to someone inspiring. Nice song Lucinda!!!
Lu's soul...and voice..and the guitar...and lyrics -- just doesn't get better than this. Thanks for post. Don't need the vid -- pics are gorgeous tho --got my own images, filled with longing and loss, to fill in the blanks
This is perhaps my very favorite Lucinda Williams song, too- and I've seen her live several times- she was wonderful each time! Sometime ago I watched the movie "Unhook the Stars" and in a scene this beautiful song plays from the jukebox.
Lucinda makes me cry more than any artist, except maybe Iris Dement. I have a great admiration for Lucinda's deep honesty in her lyrics, which she combines with such naturally matching music, an awesome combination.
I'd love to see some vid of this period if its out there?
No one writes about heartache better than Lucinda ! Saw her a few years ago at the House of Blues and it was the perfect venue for her...smaller, intimate...a place where she could pour out her heart and soul to us and she did not disappoint ! Awesomely talented southern woman . I hope I get to see her again.
I absolutely love her....I saw her twice in small clubs when I lived in CA about 30 years ago. She is my favorite female country singer, but she can rock the house too.
I love you Lucinda!! I have tickets to your concert in Winnipeg in November, I'll be the girl hollering and loving life in the 7th row!. Shout out a hello to Danielle and Jean-Paul if you can!! See you then
@Sunsong23 She is so Cool and a great Artist and a excellent singer. And this song is a favorite of mine. I also hint a touch of blues in this song which is good. Thank you for posting this. I also heard this song in the early 90's when she was on one of the half hour country music shows. I believe it might have been The Texas Connection if you remember that show.

why only 80000 views should be like 800000...instead of real music like this people go see the garbage
