Sorry for the double-post, but it occurred to me to let viewers know that's an excellent recycling use for jack-o-lanterns post Halloween (provided you didn't carve them up 2 weeks early and they have molded or gotten nasty). Chunk them up and simmer down on the stove with some chicken broth, cool and add to dog food...but not too much since it can loosen (or stop up) stool if overfed. They do love it though.
I'll have to introduce mine to jack-o-lanterns; I'd avoided doing so before, simply because dogs LOVE to eat pumpkin (so do cats, interestingly, especially stewed pumpkin) and I have one brat that would likely eat a whole one then have constipation for a week.

My dog wil sniff the cam too...We had a rotwhiler,but he wasnt properly trained and faught my jackabee so we gave the rottie back to my uncle
