So Alan Alda or his friends, please tell this amazing author that I borrowed the audiobook "Never Have Your Dog Stiuffed" from the library 2 weeks ago (I am almost blind and poor). I listened to it. And was amazed. I am 44 years old. During the M.A.S.H. years I always thought AA was a vacant, self-centered "Actor" in the worst sense. The ERA thing was so strange to me. Are you pandering! But the book explained it all. The stage callls AA. Political, Thearical, Life itself is a play!

It is 2011. I ask myself how do I let a famous person know that something they wrote, changed me. I go to Google. I key in "Contact Alan Alda". Nothing but commerce comes up. I type "Email Alan Alda" I get commerce. So I say, social networking be damned! YouTube is always the place to go to express what you feel about a topic, and find people who actually care about what you say, and maybe tell you so (continued).

He's not funny. I did not see the Aviator, I only saw snippets of it on TV and from what I saw I will admit he was pretty good. But look at M*A*S*H, why were SO MANY episodes centered around Hawkeye? There were too many. He didn't need to be the main attraction of every episode! That "Hawkeye" episode shouldn't even exist!

My favorite episode, "In Love and War" (which he wrote and directed)...it's the one where Hawkeye falls in love with the Korean woman who's helping the orphans and widows. I just watched it again the other day...it's such a beautiful piece of work!!!

I met Alan in Chicago on his book tour in 2005. An amazing man. He wanted to meet me because everyone was talking about how much I knew about this man, and I was only 17 at the time. Mind you, everyone else was between 30 and I'd say 60. Again, an amazing man... no one like him...

Very funny, but if Alda wouldn't be so eager for cheap laughs, pulling the "savage foreigner" cliché, he should have understood that in the hospital in La Serena there is not "luckily" ONE expert surgeon but every specialty is well covered because the standards of medicine in Chile are as good as anywhere else in the USA.
