    A Proud US Navy Veteran!

    *****

  • i would gladly give my life if it meant this beutiful country of ours would be safe

    LONG LIVE CANADA

  • its been safe for a very very long time.

no need to join the army. unless you want to go kill some afghans......sounds pretty sick to me

  • Go fuck yourself buddy. You are not compelled to live in Canada, feel free to leave at any time

  • @klink1983 why, im not some dumb soldier murdering people for NO REASON.

  • How many times have you been there? Shooting taliban insurgents who wish to destabilize the country and destroy their own heritage and people, IED teams, suicide bombers, bomb makers do not fall under the definition of murder.

    1. You need to learn the laws of war

    2. You need to understand that its not innocent farmers, women, and children that are being shot

    3. A majority of the population want us there, or want us out but dont want the taliban in either.

    Shut the fuck up

  • @klink1983 im sorry did you just say laws of "war".

last I checked this was an occupation of a country and NOT by any definition a war.

p.s. IRAQ had NOTHING to do with 9/11 and never did anyone find WOMD..

so its you who needs to shut the fuck up.

  • Yes I did say "the laws of war." You are the faggot liberal hippie making the allegation that Canadians are murdering people in Afghanistan when clearly that is not the case. If someone is in fact shot illegally outside of our R.O.E.'s then they should be prosecuted to the full extent of Canadian Law and the Geneva Convention. So yes, you do in fact need to shut the fuck up. You know nothing of what you are talking about and probably still live in moms basement at 39 y.o.

  • @klink1983 well that's sad because its not a "war" by any means.

    nope sorry, self employed.

and if you serious think innocents are gettin shot all the time you dont know anyone who serves.

  • Perhaps you should learn our language before trying to talk down to me. "and if you serious think inocents are getting shot all the time you dont know anyone who serves."

    1. I never said innocent people are getting shot, like how you made the accusation that innocent people are getting murdered.

    2. I leave for Afghanistan May2010 so I guess I do know someone who serves.

Do you even hold a valid passport or did uncle Abdul make it for you for $50?

  • @klink1983 my brothers done two years in Afghanistan.

in the middle of nowhere being shot and murdered aren't to far apart.

you're just a sucker thats been suckered into thinking this whole failure of an occupation is a good idea.

P.S its been publicly announced, were loosing.

  • @klink1983 way to go man you make many people proud i am enlisting right out of highschool i hope to see you over there and stand proudly beside you keep up the good work

  • yes they did have somthing with 911

  • @BukuHaze420 I'm sorry but you need to understand what we fucking soldiers do to help these fucking people. Have you go on tour? I have and I will again. These innocents look up to us like were angels because they're scared that they could die any minute of any day. We're here to stabilize the country and save these people. Don't open your mouth unless you know what your fucking talking about.

  • true that 2IRC brother nothing pisses me off more than fucking pricks who think they know whats going on in stan i havent been there but i am applying and i have 2 buddys who got back last summer and theve told me storys many drunken story

  • CFB Petawawa... great guys, 2 of my close friends are there. God Bless you beebaby699,

1RCR , 3RCR, Dragoons... come home safe boys

  • So i have to say everytime i watch this it makes me cry. My dad is going back over for his second tour. I live in petawawa, and weve had many guys die over there, many of whom were close to my family. I really appreciate this no one knows how hard it is to be a soldier, or the families holding the soldiers down

  • I appreciate it, thank you. God bless our country.

  • Good luck. I hope you come back safely.

  • I can say for a fact that war footage is real... iv seen the full clips. Im getting ready to go over, and its the tributes like this that make e cry with honour. Thank you

  • That definitely sure this video is true ! Who think that video was fake ?

  • The clips of Canadian soldiers fighting in your video can be seen a more complete form on another YouTube video that can be found by searching... Canadian ambushed Afghanistan... Many commentators there have said that they thought the video was fake. So I am really talking about the original video, not yours. No one has said that of yours. I think you are quite talented.

  • @Shifty008 it is not fake

    look up canadian forces firefight

  • Some posters have said that they think this video is a fake or video of a drill, that it can't be real because the soldiers seem too calm and too well organized. That's actually a tremendous compliment to the soldiers. Of course, the video is real. The cameraman Scott Kesterson was embedded with the troops. He talks about the ambush on his blog. Google Scott kesterson KGW update readers to find it.

  • That is one of the better tribute videos I've seen. I really like how you've used the music and the images you picked to go with them, especially the one at the end with the flag. It just sends chills up my spine.

  • can you join but be coloured blind

  • yes.

  • im going in as well

  • Just wow.... all I have to say.

  • Wife of a soldier from CFB Shilo 2006 tour..memories of this tour have been with my husband everyday. I see now from this video that you are all heroes and brave to be there and serve your country! Salute to you all and God Bless. I pray for you and your families everyday. I am soo truly sorry that we cannot be with you in this time in Shilo. Great video. Thank you Shifty.

  • I cant wait to graduate and serve my country

  • great vid!

  • god bless those familys that have lost loved ones, and keep our fellow canadians safe and please help us all to create world peace, and a war free world, and bless those that dedicate these videos to our beloved canadians, Amen

  • The song is called "The guardian suite" by Trevor Rabin

  • anyone know this song.....i know i heard it in a movie recently but cant remember what it is for the life of me.....great video by the way

  • I believe I heard this song in "The Guardian". That's the movie about the US Coast Guard and the rescue swimmers etc...

  • I feel so helpless when I see a video like that, and so forth I will join the reserves, not to go to war, but to have the experiance of a soldier. Although if I go to war, I shall go in honor, not career that I might die, as long as I die in honor... And also, mcpl42, you're in 3RCR? I what company? I saw some companies from 3RCR on the show Truth,Duty, Valour! a couple days ago.

  • well said. I too plan on enlisting in the reserves next year.

  • Im in the Royal Canadian Army Cadets me and my mom started talking about me joining reserves in 2-3 years give or take.

  • Two soldiers of the base of Valcartier of Royal the 22e Regiment and their interpreter died today in Afghanistan in the explosion of a bomb. The victims are the Corporal Nicolas Raymond Beauchamp, an ambulance man, and the soldier Michel Lévesque, 24 years old. These deaths change to 73 the number of Canadian soldiers died in Afghanistan since 2002

  • God bless their family..

    they served our country well

  • 72 Soldiers 1 diplomat

  • here's to the fallen 71

  • Thank-You for the video

3rd Battalion (3 RCR): Petawawa, Ontario

  • Really conveys a True North String and Free feel if ya ask me. I'm a reservist in the Princess Louise Fusiliers, I'm still too young to go regular force or Afghanistan but I hope to do both eventually.

  • Its sad

  • amazing video. So touching... My b/f and I live in CFB Petawawa. He leaves for Afghanistan in Aug 08. still a bit away but at the same time it's coming so fast. God Bless all our Men and Women in the Military. Stay Safe. We love you all.

trooper frechette 12e RBC - CFB Valcartier

  • What is this music track? Really conveys the emotionals many people feel when seeing these images.

  • great video, it really means a lot to me and my family.

just was wondering though what song did you use for this.

  • it means alot to me too my dad serves

  • My father was there also in 2004. May be that you already met

  • Probably... contrary to popular beliefs it is usually the same 8000 pool of people who deploys to Afghanistan again and again

  • Great vidéo... had a great laugh when I saw some pics I took in 2004 in Kabul and actually seeing myself at 0249 (I am the one pointing outward and on the next one I am the one in the middle with the helmet off). Anyway now as a Veteran from 2 Missions in Afghanistan I really enjoyed watching your vid. Brought back lots of good memories. Bravo Zulu.
