Women in the western world can wear what they like, its called personal freedom of choice. If Sarah likes a certain type of makeup, thats down to her, she is a grown up woman. I think Sarah Chang looks nice,as many others do. You dont like her look, ok then you always have the choice not to look at her videos, or if you like her music a lot and cant stand her looks, then perhaps turn the picture off and and just listen to her music.

After the show, sarah Chang was kind enough to meet her many fans for autographs, photos and a chat. I was fortunate to meet her in person and spoke to her at lengh. I can assure you that in person she was beautifully made up, not at all over the top as you think. She is beautiful in both looks and as a person, very sweet, modest and has a very happy personality which is completly unspoilt by her worldwide fame.

Seeing the recent comments, I can say that I was at the actual concert in this video, the barbican in london on Friday 12th february 2010. Sarah Chang in real life is a very small and petite woman and looked wonderful in both her choice of dress and in all of her personal appearance during her dazzling performance. Her playing of the Franck violin sonata was quite exceptional and her encore piece by Elgar was the icing on the cake, she is a true virtuoso.

We have all got our own favourite artist's ,by the way have you seen Itzhak Perlman live ? Thats one of the reasons that Sweet Sarah Chang is my favourite violinist, she is such a great human being and plays her music with so much skill, love and emotion. Race, nationality etc, shouldn't matter. The person's skill and how well the two get on are the only thing that matter. What a joy to see she is still loving life as a musician of the highest caliber -- I first saw her perform years ago with the Oregon Symphony w/ James DePriest conducting. She must have been around 9 years old! Her level of technique and emotional depth was amazing even then!!!

@Violanerd6 I had an opportunity to eat dinner and hang out with Sarah Chang in an intimate setting, and I can 100% say she is extremely down to earth and such a joy to be around. Not only is she a wonderful and thoughtful musician, but she's also very much "normal" as much as an international violinist superstar can be. She loves pop music, going out, shopping, and hanging with friends.

I hope everyone gets a chance to meet her at least once...to be touched by her presence is quite special.
