  • @westpalmbeachplaya you are and idiot. This is not even a "car", they are custom made machines. So no.car company made it. I know a guy who is getting 1200hp out of a 3.0L "jap car." So shut up and read a book before opening your stupid mouth.

  • Amazingness of this level will never be achieved by a jap car.

  • @westpalmbeachplaya I don't think you know what you're talking about

  • @denis6maybir soooo there's japanese cars that run less than four seconds in the quarter mile??? Because as far as i know there's not. let me know if there is. go ahead i'll wait........

  • @westpalmbeachplaya Yeah no you are right. When it comes to max power and min intelligence, Americans are miles ahead...

  • @denis6maybir well, go down to the pub. have a pint and then go participate in some incest, and everything will be better. europe is the best!!!!

  • A girl driving Dragster becomes more sexy and dangerous :P

  • I think that yes thegoldenduck, even i want this :P Vruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (engine warming) rs

  • 8 people would like to drive a dragster.

  • @emercito Umm, everyone wants to drive a dragster.

  • I wonder how fast these things could really go provided the engine didn't launch itself into orbit after about 10 seconds of running wide open...

  • you know that girl is in it for the orgasms from the vibration of the engine :D

  • its awesome to see how skinny the tires get when they do a burn out

  • strap your ass into a 1800 horsepower semi- controlled bomb for 5 seconds of i left my balls at the start

  • @hellomrsteele Dude, a top fuel like this one is 8000+ horsepower.

  • @JayMark2049 something more like 3000+ horsepower ;)

  • @pabloultraxtreme JayMark2049 had it right...these motors run between 8,500 and 10.000 horses. that's what nitromethane and great engineering will do.

  • @kissklassics ok, i need to learn something more, the truth is that i only heard that 3000+ is the horse power of a top fuel dragster, i already knowed that those engines use nitromethane, but i didn't knowed that is the power of those engines

sorry for my bad english :(

  • @pabloultraxtreme

actually these engines run 1300hp if ran on alchohal, but because Nitro burns slower and contains so much more oxygen in itself the engine can be set to produce 8000+. Its really mostly the fuel, but the engineering is what keeps them in one piece till the end of the track.

  • @pabloultraxtreme Sorry but nope. A "Top Fuel" dragster which runs on 90% nitromethane will make at LEAST 8000hp. Top Alcohol dragsters will produce about 3000hp but Scott Palmer drives a Top Fuel so yeah... 8000 to 10000hp.

  • Scott and his family are great people, I wish them the best!

  • That is BAD ASS

  • Why would anyone stand directly behind the dragster as it takes off?

  • @whactya because its fun

  • you want some fun ? add a corner :D

  • @tomagee hat wond be funn they would be flying off the track XD

  • @TheBricecrispy that wont be fun*

  • 1/8th mile racing is a bigger rush-130mph in 660ft. or 130mph in 1320ft.????Been there and done that. 1/8th mile is a bigger rush! same speed in half the distance.

  • @mskid68 Um...please explain why you'd stop at 130mph for the 1320?

  • @mskid68 The 1/4 mile is 1320ft. and the 1/8 mile is 660ft or exactly half the distance. I was saying that it is more fun to run 130mph in half the distance of the1/4mile. Its a bigger thrill to run 130mph in 660ft. than 1320ft. I would never stop going as fast as i could, I would love to run 300mph in the 1/4mile. I just used (130mph) for an example, because thats the best iI ever did in 660ft. (1/8 mile). Hope this explained it better.

  • @mskid68 what you mean 130 mph????? thats slow top fuel go over 300 in that distance

  • @TheBricecrispy I think you misunderstood me...If you build a car that will run 130mph in 660ft. NOT a 1/4 mile (1320ft) you are running the speed of a killer home built car, which should be able of running low 10's in the quarter. Most fast cars that are home built are not going to run low 10's in the 1/4 mile at 130mph. I run half the distance of a 1/4 mile car that can run 130mph-(in half the distance) same speed, only half the distance. I run on a budget, no sponcer, try a 1/8 mile-u like it

  • I love the smell of nitro in the evening...

  • Does the weight of the camera slow the car down by a couple of seconds?

  • @tomgreene121 If it did, then going to the bathroom before a race should save a second at least.

  • @Gunner3210 Good point! Exlax would be a benefit for sure for any Racer!

  • too bad your not scott palmer

  • damm nice sound

  • I feel sorry for the bug that happen to be flying arounf those exhaust pipe when that thing took off.

    or above the drivers head.

    or in the cars path.

    or on the tire.

  • Top Class video - why not chat about this and loads more at dragracing-forum

    This totally is great

  • that things idle fuel consumption is like 30 liters half a minute xD

    great vid :D

  • That motor is similar to the one on my lawnmower

  • @Hambo19911 Can I barrow your lawnmower? I have a big yard!

  • @Hambo19911 Touche' sir, I myself have an alcohol funny car motorized weed eater in my garage...

  • DAMN HOLY SHIT. I NEED A MOTOR LIKE THAT!!!!

  • I was gonna say that didn't look like a full 1/4

  • Check out the flames and the strategically placed banners in top of the dragster!!!!

  • Man... within a second you need to focus miles further.. think further.. resist like 7/8 G's.... good god.. thats so fast :P

  • 400mpr ha your a dumb ass

  • why does the car changes engine sound at 0:41 ?

  • @joserumba Because these engines must be started with methanol, nitromethane is then opened, and the noise changes.

  • 8000 putain de chevaux nom de dieu que ça déménage!!!!

  • i wanna drive one.....5gs off the launch then another -5gs 3.5 seconds later. best fun you can have with your pants still on!

  • @imacowtipper1984

its actually +7 and negative 7-8

  • @nemodapimpfish I believe it's only about 5.7 at the most, than about 5 on braking.

  • WOW. The shooting flames were like a dragon disgorging a lot of pent-up bad attitude.

  • Great vid.

  • @frontenginedragsterd your right, i slipped off topic and was thinking local track 106 octane, not nitro

  • if we put a top fuel engine into an m1 abrams how fast could it go

  • not much faster, and it would only go about 1/4 mile before you put in more gas which for dragsters are like $6 a gallon

  • well the question snwman should be how FAR would it go because those engines can only run for so long or else they will explode lol. and fuel would only last a few seconds.

  • dude i just told him that right before i seen your comment lol thank god someone else knows about these engines

  • not very fast, because you can only run the engine for about 7 seconds full throttle before it explodes:P

  • you cant.. if you redline these things for too long they will explode. and if your talking about a tank and this engine you are going to expect disaster.. that big tank and this strong yet weak to long running time engine it will blow

  • Girls driving dragsters = HOT!!!

  • She was just sitting in the cockpit for the warm up. Listen to the announcer and read the description, Scott Palmer is driving. LOL!!

  • @flamesofmordor only because hearing them scream when they are on fire is funny. The only thing more funny than that is when they see their burned, hairless head in the mirror and scream then cry.

  • @flamesofmordor In bed they are the same. 4 seconds and it's over.

  • Sounds Great, Looks Great, but no hearing protection, no breathing filters. Youth is wasted on the young, Mark Twain.

  • 1/8th mile racing sucks

  • wats that chik doin ?

  • Thats Power!!! Check the tires at 2:40 - 2:38 hot the inflate awesome grip.

  • they actually arn't inflating, they are being turned so fast that the rubber is being "thrown" to the same width of the rim. The tires are actually sagging when you look at them stationary, but when the motor hooks them up, they expand up to the width of the rim. Similar to putting a weight on the end of a elastic then swinging it around....the weight stretches the elastic

  • lol they are bolted to the rims and they also dont really throw out in all directions the back of the tire actually goes flat as it slows down when it hits the pavement then speeds up again after.......... but hey whatever i guess just about any jackass can try to sound important on here lmao

  • Fuck you...

Top fuel drag slicks have 7psi in them, so they aren't inflated to their full potential. THAT WAY, when the wheels turn them, they only expand to the width of the rim giving them maximum traction when they are warm and sticky. This is what i was trying to say before. I wasn't trying to sound important, i was just trying to inform the commenter that its not the air thats expanding (although it might a little bit), its just the tire being turned so fast that it lines up with the rim.

  • I feel sorry for my generation. It's a good thing most of us worked hard enouh as not depend on "foul mouthed babies" like you to fund Social Security that still don't know what centifugal force is much less trying to explain it to someone who knows even less...

  • yeah, its centrifugal force, cool shit man thats power

  • @SuperMuise centrifugal force

  • they arent filled up all the way because if they were then when the dragster takes off the tire would fill up even more and explode

  • Good tune on it, was making some power!

  • 2:50 I didn't know that dragsters had reverse

  • Well how did you expect them to go backwards then?

  • As Formula 1, man power

  • i also thought that the crew use to push them back :-)

  • That dumb kid was gonna stare down the header tube when they turned it over!

  • This would be an immense thing to experience once in your life. to 500 km/h in a few secs. Fucking amazing, but dangerous, but who cares;)

  • hehe i got shivers down my spine! sure is hell on wheels!

  • my bugatti veyron has 1001hp but this has lke 8 times more ( my bugatti is in 1/18 scale)

  • hahaha

  • You realy know that is your Bugatti ore are you dreaming

  • awesome

  • WOW! Thanks for posting, I can smell the burned nitro and tire smoke as I write this.

  • that was sweet

  • wow

  • Hell on Earth

  • Brutal force!! 5/5

  • sweet vid!! gotta love the explosion of power those cars make when they take off.

  • Wow who is the sweetheart doing the test run in the pits!

  • so this is an unrealistic goal, but id love to have a 7000 hp engine in a street car. :P

  • GK4NTK Not unrealistic, Frank Hawley has drag racing schools in Ca and Fl.

  • Fucking strong ignition here.

  • The best quality racing vid I've seen on here. Awesome sound, which is what it's all about for me. It's such an indescribably awesome sport - I couldn't believe it the first time I saw top fuel cars - literally jaw dropping. And LOUD! I thought class 1 powerboats were loud 'til I attended a race meeting. Just incredible.

  • I drive a mini dragster called a jrdragster. it rox

  • thous are cool

  • i used to drive one too but iretired to play football. they also seemed to kill the sport where i live. they dont let them run at irwindale or pomona anymore

  • Comment removed

  • cool fact is how many times the engines turns in a run (rpm).

  • 540 rpm's under power.

  • i wonder what the mpg is? lol

  • More like gallons per mile haha.

You can look up the "top fuel facts" which are amazing to read...

The fuel consumption is around 1.5 gallons per second at full throttle. So, it averages out to about 16-20 gallons per mile.

  • I was there that night!!!!!! Way too damn cool!

  • Orgasmicly good sound..

  • I like top fuel.

  • uh huh

  • it takes more talent than driving around in a big circle.

  • you should look into rally car racing...

  • rally car racing is probably the hardest kind of racing, and it probably takes the most balls. but i mean you cant say that it doesnt take talent to shift like they do, and control the car at 300 mph.

  • i dont really care for nascar but there is talent involved, if it was that easy you'd be the won sitting there with the winston cup, think about all of the different aspects

  • For me only matters Rally Racing, but i'm dying to see a top fuel in action, you can't compare motorsports because they all are incredible in there own way.

  • exactly, each type of racing is unique and takes it's own mindset and skill set. thank you for seeing that!

Me personally I like to watch all motor sports, cars + speed = me addicted

  • lmao drag racing takes alot of talent , you get ina high powered car and tell me how you do , between shifting like maddd in under 8 seconds and stearing like your ran le mans in under 8 seconds .... yea you'll make out real good in the wall

  • @NASIMNASIM it takes no talent and no finess? wtf...i´d like to see you sitting in a 8000hp topfuel dragster and and just get ripped off the track cuz you don´t know anything about this cars...clutch- and throttelcontrol and the feeling about whats going on in a machine like that isn´t just keeping the throttle at maximum and pop the clutch...

sorry for my english, i´m a german

  • @NASIMNASIM buddy you really dont know shit about it... ITS FOR SPEED DEMONs LIKE ME

  • @NASIMNASIM llmmaaoo, you get in one of these and see how quickly your life ends.

  • @NASIMNASIM reaction timing. ability to withstand the g forces. ability to hold that mutherfucker straight at 400mph. but of course, that shit is a walk in the park

  • beautiful i love that sound

  • 3:11 is when it gets good

  • Poor kid @ 2:09 got a blast of Nitro exhaust in the face. lol Looks like he's not used to it. I guess next time he'll listen when he's told to stand away from the headers.

  • Very good production quality. Great video. Rated 5 stars!

  • I like the camera girl standing off the side of the track.

  • One of the most kick ass videos ive seen in a while.

  • So how do you like almost always get your camera on-board with racers?

  • I'm just cool like that! :)

Everyone loves seeing on board video, it's a perspective they never get to see... and I love it too of course.
