Joe Elliott & an unknown Kurt Cobain discovered me May 15 '83 while Def Leppard was on tour in the US promoting Pyromania. Kurt was on the road crew. Def Leppard had finished opening for Billy Squier ending in Seattle & Oregon in April before embarking on the Rock Till You Drop tour. Joe and I started writing Pour Some Sugar On Me using an Aerosmith song from Toys in the Attic - "Step inside, WALK THIS WAY". Sweet Emotion on the same album inspired me to write Sweet Sacrifice. The real Amy Lee co-wrote Pour Some Sugar On Me with Joe Elliott. Discovered by Joe & Kurt Cobain at the age of 15 in 1983. Kurt was on the roadcrew for DL's Rock Till You Drop Tour. She is the founder of Evanescence and wrote many songs for Def Leppard, INXS, Motley Crue, Kiss, Queen, etc. After writing PSSOM she also wrote Sugar Walls performed by Sheena Easton.
