Metal and rap collided and started Numetal. It died and went out of style. Then Scene came out. Then Scene became obsolete and got replaced by crunkcore. Which is what? Metalcore voxing and Modern rap? Reminds me of Numetal. To be honest, this genre might be popular now, but I don't think it has the potential to survive. I know adults who have been listening to Metal their wholes lives, I really doubt someone who gets to there late 20's will still be listening this.

@zacharyfuns not all scenes wear coontails. or even have extensions. or wear dark makeup. or dye their hair in more than one color. granted, my hair is red and blonde, and i do wear a lot of eyeliner, but im only one person. my hair is all real. and my friend audrey has short hair with a lot of extensions and is dyed bright pink with, as u said, coontails. and there are other scene kids who simply dye their hair black/blonde and theyre ready to go. there are as many different scenes as any1 else

@zacharyfuns Well I am not Scene so I could not really tell you from a scene kid prespective but from a normal person prespective I like there fashion sense, its really "Futuristic" "Electro-ish" all around "Bright" maybe its just me because I am a Futurist. Also Scene kids have good confidence in them. and the word "Swag" are you seriously going to heckle me about my choice of words. Anyways I think its a nice style that should evolve not die and fade back to horrible vintage 80's crap. :/

Metal and rap collided and started Numetal. It died and went out of style. Then Scene came out. Then Scene became obsolete and got replaced by crunkcore. Which is what? Metalcore voxing and Modern rap? Reminds me of Numetal. To be honest, this genre might be popular now, but I don't think it has the potential to survive. I know adults who have been listening to Metal their wholes lives, I really doubt someone who gets to there late 20's will still be listening this.

Some people have the idea that harsh vocals=metal influences, which is ridiculous seeing as thousands of metal bands use exclusivley clean vocals-the entire power metal genre for example-and harsh vocals started in old school hardcore anyways.

This time it looks like they left metal out completely, course who could blame them? Everytime someone tries to do that, metal fans get upset. The reason I mentioned metal is because it got the ball rolling with all the other core genres that eventually led to crunkcore.

Scene kid image, screaming with some sort of vocal effect that makes it sound awful, auto tune... Still, it can be funny to listen to this stuff. I'm currently struggling to learn how to write songs, and whenever I think, "Goddamn it, this is awful!" I'll look up some crunkcore band and have peace of mind, knowing I'll never suck this much.
