  • Uncharted 3 plane!

  • @TheShadowman60 true.

  • user @ollo1982 are troll

  • 800m till he stops omfg. Really not bad.

  • i get goosebumps when i see russian planes. i would love to fly on one but they scare the shit out of me.

  • @FLLspotter They scare the shit out of the Russians who have to fly them. Just look at how hard it is to land.

  • Fire trucks standing ready. ANticipating russian aircraft arrival. If you fly on russian aircraft make sure your life insurance is paid up.

  • @gonetoworkbbackin5mi ?... Russian planes are amazing. I dont share your ideas. They have their advantages on design and piloting. It is true that russians planes have a lot of accidents after the soviet fall, but is essencially because of the financial situation of the countries that own them.

Interjet in Mexico just got 15 Sukhoi superjet 100.

  • Poor Burger! Already swallowed the saliva of the voltage. Russian fellows - on such a small airfield could land a plane!

  • Best transport planes are from Russia !!!

  • @missymonroe72 From Soviet Union and Antonov is from Ukraine ;)

  • @Fulcrum1988

Stop to talk bullshit dude. Antonov is a russian, who just lived in Ukraine. What a fucking moron u're....

  • @Russia2010 NOPE! Antonov is ukrainian, earlier sovjet union! Antonovs HQ is in Kiev, and has always been... Antonov is Ukranian and will always be. He started designing gliders, and was later hired in by Yakovlev.. Antonov died april 4th 1984. Remember one thing.. Russia and Sovjet Union is not the same...

  • @ollo1982

Same for u stop to trash talk! antonov was born in russia, his parents are russians, and grandparents also.

    to-name.ru/biography/oleg-antonov.htm

translate it with google. i dont really like stupid ppls who claim bullshit! so learn more about thing where u have no fucking idea dude! once again, antonov is a russian, he was born in russia, but died in ukraine!

  • @ollo1982

i dont like how americans or ukrainians get a credit for russian achievments! thats all. nothing personal, just a buisnezz!

  • @Russia2010 I know what you mean there... I wouldnt like that either... i know i was wrong about Antonov... And im sorry about that, and also sorry about my previous bad behavior comment to you... But still tho,Antonov aircrafts are still Ukrainian tho??

  • @ollo1982

thats another reason also why russia has own kb of antonov in voronesh.

  • @ollo1982

    Or here quote:

"Как же шел выходец из семьи русского дворянина, инженера-строителя, к мировому авиационному Олимпу?"

How came son of Russian nobleman, engineer, to the world aviation Olympus?

    belopolye.narod.ru/known_people/february/antonov.htm

  • @Russia2010 Oops... maybe i was wrong again since you live in Germany?

  • @ollo1982

    1991

  • @ollo1982 Antonov is from Russia. He was sent to Kiev when Soviets opened new design berau. From wiki: "Antonov was born on 7 February 1906 in a village near Moscow. In 1912, the Antonovs moved to Saratov, where he attended the local technical school. In 1930, Antonov graduated from the Kalinin Polytechnical Institute in Leningrad. " Guy with russian name and born in Russia and educated there suddenly ukranian? Give me a break!

  • @ollo1982 Antonov planes are soviets. Additional prove is that during last 20 years of independence there no new design of plane which Ukraine did alone. Ukraine uses old soviet devepolments only. It is copy paste after Soviets.

  • 2 landing attempts were made due heavy crosswind as seen at this video /watch?v=qBDd3r6O_ZM from other location.

  • Phew made it at last

  • @duncr people saying it needs 1 km runway. In this video pilots landed on 700 m runway with quite some extra space to spare. Navigator went emotional. BTW last landing for this plane.

  • 3rd time lucky! Great Skill. i visited the museum this year. All day visit and still never seen it all.

    Gaz Aberdeen

  • did you ever see the video of the c-130 land on the aircraft carrier?

  • From 0:00 to 3:29 I was wondering will it fucking land finally ?

  • At 1:22 that flyby's sound is like... guys, just imagine some of the Bears flying over your heads with nukes. It's freaking eery but yet so powerful.

  • just land! who cares if u overshoot, at least land!

  • A c-130 could nail that airport in the first pass.

  • @PSNgregiskool

    Maybe.

Then again, the An-22 is three times heavier than the C-130 and considerably bigger.

  • A ESTE PILOTO LO LLAMARIA YO "INGRACIADO"

  • the cock

  • The runway is too short and narrow for a fat thing like that. I think if they were to miss it could make a world news ruining that town to a rubble.

  • Just love that noise!!!!

  • EAT YOUR HEART GARETH MALONE!!!! YOU DON,T KNOW F----K ALL ABOUT MUSIC UNTILL YOU HEAR THIS!!!! ABSOLOULTEY MAGIC!!!!!. Gareth works as a Choirmaster at the London Symphony Orchestra, teaching young boys to sing. Yeargh rIGHT!!!!. From oldboilerdog.

  • i have seen live this landing

this plane is now in Technik Museum in Speyer like Boeing 747 :D

  • the 225 is better

  • Russian Pilots are Best !! To land on 1200 m RW in Speyer AN-22

Nice VIDEO ! Thank you very much !

  • best noise

  • very old plane

  • It looks like it is going super-slow, but it isn't, it's just huge!

  • @krejzliselecta

no problem at all! This was the final landing of this plane on a very short landing strip near a museum where it is now displayed. before the final landing the pilots made two test approaches.

  • ???? What was the problem windshear? or this was emergency landing

    ?????,

  • Süper bir iniş, çok iyi pilotaj..

    Cem

  • A incredible aircraft, so big but capable to operate from a unpaved runway like a simple Transall ... A realy performance: you know how long and difficult it is to built a airworty A400M...with near 2x less capacity...

  • It's a pity we cannot keep the dialogue civil as I always like getting points of view from all parts of the globe and sharing what is happening in our part of the world. Our needs differ from the UK, Pakistan, Denmark, etc, etc....and that is what makes it so interesting, vicious verbal catfights are boring and achieve nothing. Oh well ....pity

  • Well, keep in mind mind you can get 3 Mig 29's for the price of one Rafale, Eurofighter or 2 for one F16. I t is outclassed by the new western first line attack aircraft but the upgraded Mig is fitted with fly by wire so then skill will determine the superior. Most nations only need a good capable aircraft as a deterrent. My country has just purchased a tribe of Grippens, what a waste! As for reliability the current Klimov, Turmansky and Isotov engines are as reliable as the best. Take care

  • Well Said. I guess your Hungarian? Some politician most have made big bucks on buy that shit for Hungary.

  • Hi No, South Africa (Cape Town) We took the French route in the 60's to 70's and relied on Dassault products. Mirage 111 and F1. With sanctions because of racist policies we teamed up with Israel and converted Mirage 111's to IAI Kfir's, to us the Cheetah. Now we are getting Grippens and Hawks, sofisticated expensive first world aircraft and you are right, our politicians have had their paw in the honeypot. For our theatre of operations MIG's and SU 27-35's would have been more than adequate.

  • The Russians are more intelligent than people give them credit for, every aircraft is built for a specific purpose, nothing more, nothing less. As for beauty - SU27 / MIG 29 ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AIRCRAFT BARR NONE

  • oh yeh? especially the quality of the hard wares, as Russian engines just last few hundreds hours and frame itself starts to fall apart after 20 years let alone beauty.

  • Wrong idea. Very durable and very reliable. If you learn more about Russian military products you would know that everything made rough but very very durable and long lasting. Russian military planes outlast anything else in the world. just look how many Mig-21 and 17 still in service. Some of them were made back in 50's and with upgrades still pose a good threat.

  • Nothing personal, but it's just primitive point of view, dude :) Inspite of you I can compare. I flied both Soviet and American airplanes. And of cause European airbuses. Soviet planes are very reliable. Some of them have advantages or disadvantages. But they are not primitive. And if you still think that such planes as An-124, An-225 or Tu-160 (just examples) are primitive it means you are really stupid.

  • You called a Communist 'asshole'! shame on you !!

  • Its very smart answer. It seems like you so intelligent and well educated. And your language is so clean and arguments are so sensible!

  • I see only one asshole here.... Looks like it would be you! Everyone else is jut trying to have an intelligent conversation.

  • Antonov was born in Moscow, and the airfactory up to WWII was in Novosibirske after in Peterburge, and code the war a factory was finished have transferred to Ukraine, so the plane Russian:)))))

  • WoW! beautiful aircraft like all Russian planes!

  • actually the antonov aircraft are ukrainian, but Russia helps build them

  • It was built in USSR :) Antonov itself came from Russia to Ukraine and became the director of the Design Bureau, now it's named after him. Such famous plaines as An-12, An-22, An-124, An-225 were built in USSR. Now it's in independent Ukraine. And there are already 100% Ukrainian planes, such as An-70, An-140, An-148 etc. By the way, after destruction of USSR An-225 Mria almost died (there is only single plane) and fortunately was renovated by 2006 and certified for international cargo service.

  • I heard from place to place that Russia actually retains a SECOND An-225 somewhere in the far east and [might] renovate it... :D

  • Funny rumours :)))) But I think it's not true. In any official sources (Russian too) there was only one plane, which was used for Soviet space program. And actually Russia don't need it too much, cause they have complete production cycle of Ruslans (An-124). In fact, it's a pity that collaboration between Russia and Ukraine in airplane production became so negligible after USSR collapse. At list for me it's a pity.

  • They started a 2nd airframe but then the Buran program was cancelled. When they started using the An-225 for freight, it got more and more work. At some point it got more work then it could handle, so it was decided to start up the build of the 2nd An-225 again, but was again halted in 2009 because business slowed down due to the economic crisis. It's still sitting in a corner of the Antonov factory.

  • Comment removed

  • There is another one sitting in hangar. Not completed yet, some electronics and engines is what left to finish.

  • @smdd86 it is not russian its ukrainian - that's a big difference

  • @Aviadynamics You aren't absolutely right. This plane has been constructed in the USSR. Wings, a fuselage and the chassis were under construction in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), wheels - in Moscow Region and Yaroslavl (Russia), engines (NK-12) from Kuibyshev (Samara, Russia). Thus planes were issued in Tashkent. I assure you, this plane has been constructed by the huge country which was called Soviet Union, and to divide, who was more enclosed in its creation (Ukraine or Russia) is simply silly.

  • is this bigger than the an225

  • No It's not

  • But the biggest Turboprop.

  • @ichbinsdoch biggest prop!

  • @ichbinsdoch biggest prop! That was used anyway lol

  • no it isn´t bigger than an-225

    AN-225: 85,30 m

    AN-22: 57,80 m

  • wow, it looks ugly but its a plane you want to see often, that makes it a great plane

  • I love the sound of those Kusnetzov turbocontraprops.

  • Comment removed

  • I love the noise it makes

  • Forgive me it it sounds like blasphemy to anyone, but it makes me think of a cross between a constellation and a Hercules.

  • put a camera in the nose for those unlucky pilots what a beast to land no thanks

  • I was in it, too amzing you nearly the nothing out of the pilots window!!!

  • I was in there !

  • amazing bird

  • flying cow? ;)

  • Damn! After 3 minutos of go-arounds, we finally get to the point!

  • for how much can you buy one of these things for?

  • lol its loud and can land on a short runway, comming to a small local town near you!

  • That was some great flying. Very skilled pilot. I'm still hoping to see on of these in flight before they all get retired. Awsome aircraft.

  • Is this @ an airshow?

  • i live in speyer but i didnt see that.

  • wheres speyer?

  • in south of germany. one hour from frankfurt away.

  • Cool! It only needed 800 meters to actually come to a full-stop.

  • envious of it?

  • yes,it´s in germany and they´re speaking german ,too.Speyer is in the east-south of germany.i were there two days ago !really good

  • anywayz where in the world is Speyer?

  • I'm guessing that might be Germany?

  • y dont they let off the flaps and come in slower so they can make a real approach not up then down then up. but im not a pilto so i wouldnt know

not out of disrespect but out of cursioity do all russian planes land like that

  • The flaps on An-22 acts as a high-lift device on the plane which lets it takeoff earlier when it's in its full double-slotted position. And no, see the situation then you will know why they land like that.

  • ooh the short rwy and the trees ok

    but its still kinda wierd

  • hahaha love that rockin right at the end...nice work capt!

  • The An-22 and Bear both have coaxial contrarotating props. That would account for the unique sound, but I also wonder what the prop RPMs-and therefore the tip speeds-are. Are we hearing supersonic tips from these huge props (18 ft IIRC)? Also, given the short rollout, does the aircraft have reversible-pitch props for reverse thrust on short fields?

  • 20.3 ft i think

  • Very nice video! Thanks for posting it!

stprimeflyer: Yes indeed it makes a hell of a noise, the plane is powered by a derivative version of the engines that drive the Tupolev 95 'Bear' wich is considered the noisiest propellor aircraft of the world. So actually the An-22 is togheter with the Bear the noisiest propellor aircraft in the world but also the LARGEST prop aircraft in the world.

I can tell you is DOES makes a hell of a lot noise, but its nice; :P

  • Great movie! Thanks for posting.

stprimeflyer: Yes indeed its VERY loud. It is driven by a slightly modified version of the engines that drive the Tupolev 95 'Bear', wich is considered the loudest propellor aircraft of the world, wich makes that the An-22 is just like the 'Bear' at least as noisy, so actually it's also the noisiest prop plane of the world AND the biggest prop plane of the world :D. I can tell you, it DOES makes a lot of noise! But it's nice :p

  • I guess the pilots are trying to burn off fuel so they can land on the short runway and at the same time perform fly-bys and go-arounds for the spectators to watch =P

  • This thing has lots of lift so they have to throttle back alot to get it to land

  • then y didn't the designers take the flaps into condersation

    im jsut saying

  • dam that pilots good give him a gold medle the size of a fryin pan lol

  • R.I.P after this final landing.

  • Pilot is fuckin good

This thing needs 1000 meters for safe landing

    fnd they had only 600

  • man that thing seems to be soo freaking loud!

  • dummschwätzender kommentator, ansonsten ein schöner film!

  • Looks like he could go another 30kph slower on final.

Wonder how this giant gets in the air again..

  • Actually, it's not gonna take off again. The place it landed, Speyer Museum is its last stop.

  • And it stops in 800 meters???

  • Incredible!!

  • Is he performing fly-bys or go-arounds?

  • Bravo!

  • that thing is fat!

  • Good video!

  • That's the slowest bloody plane I've ever seen.

  • The plane stoped after 800 meters

  • Incredible. 450m instead of 1000m, right?

  • best pilot
