I wander why people can even call it Christianity? An orthodox Christianity, an original religion of Apostles, Jesus Christs followers, turned into strange cult introduced crusades, inquisition, wars of religion, paying money for indulgences, etc., things that have nothing to do with even the basic idea of Christianity, religion of love, tolerance and self-sacrifice. The very idea of killing, burning, and torturing people in the name of Jesus Christ sounds crazy to me. Why?!

What many people today believe to be the Inquisition is a MYTH. A myth fabricated by Protestants to malign the Catholic Church. The BBC (an organization that is usually very hostile towards the Catholic Church) for once came to it's defense when it made a documentary exposing the historical errors of the Inquisition. Just go on google and enter "THE MYTH OF THE SPANISH INQUISITION" and click on the very first result you get by the same exact title. It's so true!
You go ahead and tell that to my dead relatives back in 1537. Just like Iran is trying to cover up the Holocaust these days, the Catholic church covers up it's dark ages of wickedness towards Jews.
So you're saying that the Cathar genocide was a myth? Children roasted alive? That's very well documented, and those were the beginnings of the Inquisition.
Where is this documented? No children were executed by the Inquisition. The Protestants of N Europe killed many more 'witches' than the Inquisition killed heretics.
Even Malcolm Barber's book on the Cathars mentions this (and he's pro-Church). Saint Domingo of Guzmán became a saint for inventing the Inquisition, first founded in order to 'take care' of the Cathars
Loafy1212 Tell that to the Hugenots, the Jews and others who are to many to mention, who where burned at the stake, fried in large vats of fat and died other atrocious deaths, their crime, not submitting to the RC church. Oh and for your info the BBC is usually up the backsides of the RC church.
