It's easy to knock the Puritans. Yes, they did wrong. But put yourself in their shoes. MA's charter was revoked. You're waiting uncertainly for a king across the ocean to tell you you still get to keep your land. Your settlements are under attack from native tribes and French settlers. And then your kids start freaking out. It's 1692; you can't take them to a shrink. This was tragic, but I think anybody who's honest has to admit, they might have done just as bad, if it was them.

You cannot project all evil on to any particular group. Neither can any group honestly claim perfect blamelessness for itself. And how much they believed in the power of god and the Devil. one failed harvest and many would starve the next winter. As well as Indian raids and French raids. This film will, I hope, at least some show that witches are not evil, on the contrary, they are good and trying to help people! @WiccanWitch333 the point is that witches have never existed. the hysteria was caused by mentions of witchcraft in the bible, along with a mixture of old english myths with carribean slave myths. these people feared "satan's" influence over people, that is they targeted social pariahs, the deformed, and the mentally disabled for witchcraft accusations.
