@AllisonTheSNLGuru It really is no different from other commerical. If you knew the words to the song and then placed it where the band is dancing and the girls are doing it makes total since. Tampon was there which fit the dance trope dancing and showing that they were able to do wit with tampon, They were able to let it whip, just shake it baby, just let it whip, whip it all night... Not have any problems.
Good Lord, people on here are saying they were in elementary school when this commercial came out. I'm in this commercial...in the band, but my face was never shown :-( This was my 4th year in the band!! 1997 if I'm not mistaken!!! It doesn't seem like 13 years ago....

UMpt835, you might be right. When I read JSpearman4's comment, it made me LOL to think how ridiculous. But again, the song first came out in the early '80's, so high school and college students hearing it for the first time may think "drip" instead of "trip." That still cracks me up, though!

@MrSwacGuy99 - Oh, I'm well aware its like any other commercial...but I guess it was impactful if Tampax is the enduring image of this song for me.
I love watching the dancers in this ad as well, and yeah, some of these moves could be hindered by your conventional maxi pad.
