Yea, it is probably the furthest thing from easy possible. The only break you really get during the song is the tapping section which gets crazy because of that ridiculous stretch you see at 1:39

The only secret to fluent sound is practice. The material of the neck doesn't matter, the only thing a maple neck adds is more "punch" it isn't as warm as a rosewood. String gauge is mostly preference, and a "fast" neck is just a neck that is very thin.

I have an RG550(the same model as the guy in the video) it probably has the fastest neck of any guitar. Ibanez is know for their slim necks.

@Antxoi yea it's probably either an original RG550 or the re-issue. I got a 89 RG550 it was DY, the person who had it before me decided he would just spray crappy blue over it, so i redid it in red and added a clear coat. Looks pretty bad ass right now. You play Ibanez man?
