So what exactly happened to Yuri in the following games? Did they nerf her or did they add more balance to the other characters? Because I don't recall players overusing Yuri like they do on this game.

yuri is also pretty good in 2k2um, then again about anyone is pretty good in 2k2um

that might be the case but 2k2um has the same problem as 98um as in theirs a core of certain characters used, namely K' and Nameless, dont think ive seen a vid without those two in it somewhere.

Yuri is used in OG 98 its just hard to find video footage of her, also in 98UM I hear she was given faster moves if that makes sense, I mean her moves like cypher comeout quicker.

Im not complaining about her overuse though since I play with her, this stuff is interesting for me to take notes from.

It doesn't bother me either. I just find it unusual that so many people use her.
