  • really badly tuned drum played and recorded badly lol, technique ok just sounded forced might just be the recording though.

  • He's very thorough in explaining the drum process. Luv these videos!

  • it really helped me~

    감사해요.

  • this guy is great, and the real deal..

  • It was this video, out of all the advice and teaching, that finally led me to finding my own slap sound. Not totally there yet, but this is "the way".

  • Hey guys. The man says the truth. He is playing correctly. The room he's in is bad and therefore the recording stinks but he is playing a fairly heavy slap. As djembeweaver said that you can start learning tone with fingers closed if you want and then open more as you advance. The most important thing in all of this is, as the man says, be relaxed. Watch your posture, tune your drum and relax to the point you could play a phrase 10 minutes or more without being fatigued.

  • Gun go do pa

    Gun go do pa

    pata pata

  • Tone is closed fingers.

  • You start off by closing your fingers for a tone, but later you can learn to play both slaps and tones with either open or closed fingers. This minimises movement and allows you to relax more when you play.

  • i thought it is a tone instead of slap
