I love this video; I think this one shows Toni's street dancing style the best. This song has a hint of Madonna vocals and an In Living Color back beat to it too; both I think make this video look and sound good.

This was the age of ledgends that time period when the first hip hop dancers were still there and the next wave was up and comming, now many though never left the scene but worked behind it all the time Tony is one of them, she could do theatrical dance like broadway and ballet all the way, but she was also one of the origional lockers with don cambel, she is a founder, and even though she is older she can still outdance even the youngest dancers as far as skill and soul.

Toni Basil is a true inspiration for men and women of ALL colors !!!!! It's admirable that she puts it down for the ballerinas. I love that she harmonizes street dance and classical ballet in her choreography. Her dancing exhibits her passion and raw talent minus the BS!!!!! She's got funkiness and a groove with grace that raises the bar for generations to come. I am so elated that there are women out there that share my same love of dance. Thank you for this gift and post.

Lets see, 16 years ago,, she would have been around 51 years of age. Amazing ability that seems to get better with age! This seems to be one of her best videos. Dancing of everyone is superb and choreography is definitely first cabin, a truly outstanding artist.

Pete wasn't in this video but all the others were...Myself(Doc)I had on the red and black polka dots that was doing the solo behind Toni..My partner at the time who was dressed like me..His name is Fulton...Kev & Wallace from The Godfathers,Skeeter Rabbit who I lived and toured with in Japan for 3 years..We even put out a few rap singles in Japan..3 Stories High was the name of the group..Myself,Skeet and Popin Pete..Greg Campbellock Jr. was also in this video.Many dancers from all over!

Wow this is crazy. I was looking for "street life" but thought it didn't exist. I have a performance of her on a vhs tape doing a performance on a show with this song. Has boogaloo shrimp doing puppeting and others doing some locking choreography. They are all decked out in zoot suit style clothing and the stage is made to look like a street. The Dj is spinning in a "car" that's coming out of the brick wall.

Anyone have any idea what performance it would be? It doesn't say on the video i have

Impressive! Toni Basil is a lot more talented than I previously gave her credit for based on "Mickey". Admittedly, I loved the song Mickey as it was extremely catchy, but I I didn't think the video was that slick and the dancing/cheerleading that special. I really liked both this song and this video. She can really move. Thanks for sharing.
