  • Wow. 'Nuff said

  • Fucking epic! The Joker impersonator had moments where he lost the touch, but overall, he did phenomenal! Superman-guy-dude . . . I'll stop there.

  • Had to stop watching. Can't stand to see Superman behaving like a fascist prick - you sure you ain't Frank Miller????????

  • Great acting and writing for the Joker. Superman though was not very good.

  • I'm sorry that you are done being the joker. You are great.

  • 3:07 Trollface.

  • Not bad, but I agree with those who've said this is much too uncharacteristic for Superman. He wouldn't even flinch with Joker spouting off all of those threats, much less react like that. That's the whole point of Superman, and what makes him different.

  • @Siper2 superman wasnt born a boyscout, he became one. and in the first month of his career, hes bound to run into a few obstacles. watch some JLU, there have been a few really good moments where superman has gotten dark. this is no different. his threats were idle, joker saw that and called him out on it.

  • @blinky500 I agree, there will be challenges. I've been reading comics for a very long time, and have seen all the cartoons. I don't mind him bristling over a comment for a couple of seconds, but if he gives in to the taunts of a villain, it doesn't make him admirable. What makes a soldier, an officer, any kind of real-life hero good at what they do, is focus and being unwilling to react to petty things. Superman is all that, and then some because of what his abilities afford him.

  • @Siper2 i agree, but like i said, superman needs to grow and learn. and in the nolanworld, where i set this, i view joker actually as the kind of person to force superman into being a boyscout. superman came in there playing the god card, but it was all bullshit and joker knew it. joker took advantage of that and called his bluff and told him the reality of his situation.

  • @blinky500 He does need to learn, but in my opinion, by the time he becomes Superman and goes public, he's done that. I guess everyone has a guilty pleasure in wanting to see the heat vision come out, and him wreck some big alien or something.... but really, that's just it. It's a guilty pleasure, it's not really Superman-ish. He wouldn't have been smug to begin with, and certainly wouldn't have cared what Joker said.

Now, that said, this is no bash on your efforts. Fun movie. :-]

  • @Siper2 i get where youre coming from. this version of superman was one big bluff. from the smugness, to the heat vision, to the idle threats. the strongest man in the world is helpless against the mind of the joker. thats the point of the story. he cant do anything to joker or any villain for that matter without being harshly judged. and it sucks. what the point of having all that power if you cant use it? its a learning experience for superman.

  • @blinky500 Fair enough. :-]

  • @blinky500 I really do like your take on superman in this film we need a darker superman.

  • @blinky500 yah know i could not agree more Thanks for stating that and nice job on the film really enjoyed it:)))

  • Good story!

  • this is my favourite one you have ever done

  • The best part of this was the script. I really enjoyed how the Joker figures he will get to Superman's identity. I like the guest at the end, and I like the lines that were given to the Joker. Some of the shots were a little off...broke the 180 degree rule a few times. I like it when Superman's eyes glow red (I saw an issue of Superman where he gets so angry that he loses control and over uses his eyes.) All and all, good for what it is.

  • i like this video but, i thought it was kinda ripping off the dark knight in many ways

  • Kinda reminds me of the John Byrne story early in his Superman run where the Joker actually did show up in Metropolis and cause trouble for Superman. :)

  • I'm serious when I ask this I'm not trying to be a jerk but what are you adding to the character. It's seems like your just doing a heath ledger impression. What about it makes it yours. The dialog is different but in the same tone as the batman interragation scene. I highly doubt you'll ever get hired to play the Joker professionally if you can't make it your own.

  • If this was so important, Clark could have called Barry to search every single room in the city. If this was supposed to be before Flash, Clark could probably just listen for five heartbeats belonging to children.

  • @Zeolahn youre assuming the kids were in metropolis.

  • @blinky500 Then Clark could call Barry, Jay, and Wally and pretty much cover the entire state in less than five minutes.

Don't get me wrong, I love the concept, I wish Batman wouldn't get a reboot for the DC Movie verse because I would LOVE to see this Joker work around super powers and talk to Superman, or even Hal like this right here. Fantastic concept.

It's just a pet peeve of mine whenever it's a fanvid showing all the heroes exist but the star can't call his friends or use all his powers

  • @Zeolahn in the nolanverse, there is no Flash. its just batman and now technically superman.

  • @blinky500 In the Nolanverse there is just Batman. Superman does not exist in the same world as Nolan's Batman or Joker. He is just producing Man of Steel, if anything Snyder's Superman will be in the same world as the yet unrevealed rebooted Batman who will be part of the Justice League. For better, or for worse, Bale's amazing Batman will never meet any other DC character. Unless WB brings down the hammer.

  • @Zeolahn yeah i know. which is why in my film, i decided to introduce a "nolan" superman. ya dig? and in the nolanverse, its just batman and now superman. no flash yet. thus, no flash in this story.

  • @Zeolahn we on the same page yet?

  • @blinky500 Then he could call Bruce. My point is that I feel this was a poor way to get the characters to meet when there's a lot better options. I love the concept, and I loved Joker's dialogue, I love the point of the whole video, but I don't think this was a good way. I also feel that Superman was out of character, even young Superman never snapped ever.

  • @Zeolahn unless you are an canon writer for dc comics, you cannot say what superman would or would not do. he's got 80 years of history and he's snapped before. he beat the shit out of darksiede, killed some evil kryptonians in the 80s as well as attempted to kill doomsday several times. the bottom line is superman like all characters is open to interpretation. read birth rite

  • @blinky500 Neither can you. And clearly I'm not alone. I've read every issue of Superman, EVER. The only time Clark has ever EVER lost his cool is when it comes to Lex Luthor and even THEN he got less mad than he did here. Unless you've read every issue of Superman, you cannot claim anything. Don't write for other characters when you don't know how to write them.

  • @Zeolahn i claim nothing. its a fucking fan film and its open to interpretation and i doubt you have read every single issue ever printed. so how about you come off your high horse of a little bit and enjoy the damn movie for what it is- fun.

  • @blinky500 Then you are wrong. I've read every issue of Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Justice League (including JLI), as well as Avengers and Amazing Spider-Man. They're all on my computer and they've all been read (with the except of Golden Age GL and Flash).

And yes, it is a fan film, which means maybe it should be made by fans instead of someone with a basic understanding of who Superman is. Fans know the characters.

I like your most of stuff. But this is not good because of of that.

  • @Zeolahn then get off your ass and make a movie to your specifications. if there is one thing i CANNOT STAND, its a whiny arm chair critic. the movie was made almost a year ago. it was set in stone and cannot change. i had my reasons for making it. you can either accept them or not. either way i do not care. what i care about is the persistence of your complaints. either let it go or make your own damn film.

  • @blinky500 Don't let him get to you man, this film was great. The acting was superb, the effects were impressive, and the suit was great.

  • @blinky500 Screw him! I personally loved it!

  • @Zeolahn also this is set before superman was friendly with batman. i repeat, its like 2 months into superman's career.

  • the guy that plays the joker is brilliant... superman not so much.....

  • I Actually Liked This :) His Joker is preeettyy dead on, and it's a good plot and an eye opener. KUDOS to the writers

  • One burn from his eyes to his leg would get a rise outta him or maybe through the shoulder, non fatal or course.

  • I love this short so much, something about it just gets something in me.

  • i see u like the dark knight joker (he cool and all) but i wish we can go back to the comic joker now. maybe update the joker with a bit of the DK batman and a little bit of the animated joker with a hit of Adam west joker lol

  • Great film. Your Superman costume actually looks pretty close to the one Snyder and Nolan are using.

  • chris you were great as the joker another great fan film.

  • that start was fantastic. I actually had to play the beginning over again before continuing the story. exellent

  • I don't know if the guy who plays Joker is a good actor or what but I think I just hate him. The way he talks is like he's better than everyone else and I hate it.

  • @trickyfeet thats the idea.

  • WHAT THE FUCK CHRIS I HATE FUCKING CLIFF HANGERS but anyways good job

  • Harley is soooooooo hawt

  • Well what happens after this? team up with lex?

  • that was awesome the best joker film I've seen of yours and a excellent idea of pitting heath's joker against superman.

  • the joker laugh was so good awesome joker

  • Amazing!!

Children going missing. Clown suspect. are you sure you're not talking about Pennywise, Superman?

  • i love how he justs walks in there, puts down some weapons down, and puts his arms up.

  • Superman will never hit a man under custody he acts like batman and growing smallville clark. superman will never talk that rude he would come to the point streight and polite stern talking. he also does'nt look like superman NO OFFENSE. Blinky production's "DUMBEST LOIS LANE JOKE CASTING WAS SO GOOD AND THAT COMEDY WAS ALSO WONDERFUL" You could've casted that person again for superman. NO OFFENSE.

  • @HARISHROSHAN he moved down south. this version of superman is a rookie superman. hes not experienced yet. i keep trying to tell people that. hes only been around for a couple of months. and every rookie fouls up, including superman.

  • @blinky500 you will definetely get someone who could play it and mock it my wishes are with you. even I'm very interested in making like you ppl but we have no opportunity to meet due to looooooooooooong distance :)

  • I love it, but I can't help but feel it'd be better with a comic book Joker :)

  • Sorry for my grammatical error in part II. The line should be, "I just can't believe that an established hero like Superman would allow the Joker to get a rise out of him like that."

  • (Part II) It's the character of Superman here that I have a problem with; I'm sure that Superman has had plenty of experience dealing with all sorts of bad guys. I just can't believe that an established hero like Superman would allow the Joker could get a rise out of him like that. Supes is supposed to the be the ultimate Boy Scout--unshakable, unyielding in the 'I won't take a life' policy. Overall, good job.

  • @howto101 see thats the catch. superman (in this) is not established yet. he is new to metropolis. say hes been around for less than a couple of months. he's still banking on his mystique vs experience. so its easy at this stage in his career for joker to piss him off.

  • @howto101

Everyone, even Superman, is susceptible to anger, and more importantly, to fear. Imagine you have all the strength in the world, and yet, it ultimately doesn't make a difference?

The fact that even with all your power, you're still every bit as capable of failing the one you love just as easily as the next person?

Doesn't that scare you? Doesn't that ANGER you?

Everyone is susceptible to basic carnal instinct...no matter how "pure" they claim themselves to be.

  • @howto101 i think the point of this was to show a more realistic, darker version of superman. much like nolan did with the dark knight series.

  • (Part I) My two cents on this. I LOVED the Joker in this film. Spot on for the psychological terror that he is. The idea of mixing heroes and villains for a different flavor of conflict makes for good entertainment. My only grief is Superman--not for the portrayal, I don't care if Supes was played by a 90 pound weakling, if the actor can portray the character, all the better. We get hung up on looks too much nowadays.

  • This is difficult, I enjoy it entertainment wise, and even though I read the thing on your website, the man of steel was standing out way too well to fit in Nolan's world. Although the color tuning helped, it wasn't enough. If Joker and Quinn meet up with Superman, I would love to see a suit upgrade; make that, any other Blinky Produced Superman film. Not trying to be an ass, but constructive critism.

  • This was cool. Enjoyed. But Disliked superman, poor acting and WAY too scrony and weak looking.

  • wowo what a great twist i hope their is more of this to come

  • The only reason why I'm watching anything with Superman is because there is Joker. And please Joker and pain are like car and a car charger.

  • lmfao I loved this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nothing against the superman choice of actor, but...not quite man of steel material. the voice is not powerful enough

  • love the joker, but superman could have done a bit better!!

  • tbh im getting annoyed that everyone is imitating the heath ledger joker, people should be trying to adapt the character now, even changing that red smile, i never liked that, didnt agree truely to the comics

  • @TheAaronTJones so you didnt like heath ledger. GET OVER IT and try to appreciate this for what it is.

  • @blinky500 woah now, i didnt say i didnt like heath ledger, sure he played a good joker, but like what heath did after nichelsons portrayal of the joker, try a different re-imagining of the character

*p.s. that was not in any way a stab at your acting, i do think its a good re-take on the dark knight story, plus some good direction (SUBSCRIBED lol) x

  • @TheAaronTJones well thanks. glad we cleared that up.

  • Wow. Just wow. The script was amazing, and generally the Joker and Superman did well too - when the Joker tried to whip out the gutteral tones it sort of grated on me, but again, all in all, this was very good. Everyone was In Character... I enjoyed it very much!

  • i really liked this but whats jokers motives on superman. wats good about this is that joker has never really had that much of a relationship with superman

  • Who's the other "prankster" the Joker's referring to here?

  • @witchhunter84 he was referencing THE prankster, a superman villain.

  • excellent series, loved all the Joker vids and this one is classy too. Curious however, what is this varient of the hanz zimmer music in the credits? its awesome

  • @XXXGRiDXXX its a remix i found on youtube.

  • The Joker looks like heath ledger LOL

  • @blinky500 I think you all could do a wonderful Superman short; I'd love to see what you could come up with. And the more I think about it, I kinda wanna' see how Lois (Army Brat that she is) would handle a nut like Joker. This whole series was so much fun, and you guys made it your own. Great stuff, even still.

  • @Eurekamatthew joker did get a rise! Ever read Superman: Empire Joker? He even stole Mr. Maxyasptlks (don't know how to spell his name. He's a superman villain) powers!!

  • dude i enjoy your work and look forward to your future films

  • Im not digging this superman actor too much. haha

  • too many shifts from superman being angry to not so angry it got me out of the flow of the whole whole video.

    i really liked it tho

  • Great idea but joker can never get a rise out of superman. Thats why he only gos after batman because batman is easy to to get a rise out of and almost killed joker meny times.

  • @Eurekamatthew i disagree.

  • @Eurekamatthew Perhaps you should reference Batman/Superman: World's Finest. Or any of the other crossovers. Action Comics 719, for instance, where Batman has to stop Superman from killing The Joker after nearly killing Lois Lane with toxin. He gets a rise out of Superman all the time.

  • plese plz pls make more mr j... or i wll kill u

  • @MrAdem11 if you give me money, ill make more.

  • Love It!! Do you plan on making anymore superman fan films?

  • @Darkknight2149 not at the moment.

  • This just proves that Chris and his team are incredible and deserve more credit. Love the dialogue and how it never misses a beat it just keeps you focused and wanting to know how the story will unravel. As always a wonderful job! 10/10

  • "Crush Your Skull", and Choking The Joker. Feels more like superman had a big cup of Red Kryptonite before going into this meeting. Or batman is dressing up as Superman. STILL , enjoyed it !

  • @DavidUnlocked he was just trying to be intimidating. but he couldnt put his money where his mouth was.

  • @TheElMoIsEviL He has before. What's to stop him from doing it again?

  • 'what do you think i am crazy....don't answer that' great line :)

  • The ending was brilliant...

  • superman needs to work out

  • Superman is soooo screwed

  • This was great. Excellently done. You really captured these guys in pure, real form. Got the Heath Ledger's Joker down-packed. It was like he was really there. I would've shortened Superman's hair though, lol but that's just a minor thing. All in all, great work.

  • GREAT CHEST EMBLEM!

  • I liked it but I wasn't too keen on the way Superman was portrayed he's not one for dealing out death threats. I also don't think the Joker would have been able to wind him up so easily without having an actual threat toward in the way the Joker did with Rachael Dawes in TDK. But it was still good the acting was good and the tension was awesome. 8/10

  • @Bobbywoodhogan I can understand what you are talking about, but I have to respectfully disagree with you. Superman usually doesn't give death threats, but he usually doesn't deal with someone like Joker. Joker knows how to get under people's skin. And Joker did have an actual threat, the missing children.

  • when he said hit me superman should have just pinched his hand with super strength

  • Intense, gripping and superb stuff... Wow. =D

  • How'd you make that custom Blinky500 thing ?

  • @TheDTW photoshop and an editing program.

  • I love that ending HAHAHA! Seriously though, Chris you've probably heard this from other people but i would love to see you make a Harley and Ivy Movie with Kim and Johanna I know you would make it awesome hell stick in another super heroine for kicks like Worlds Finest either way....I'd enjoy that

  • Very nice, great dialogue from the joker, that harley quinn at the end was great ^_^

  • Great film! Gah, I love the interesting interaction between Supes and Jokers :D

But when you say you're done with Joker, do you mean as in you yourself are finished playing the role of Joker or you're done making movies about the Joker?

  • @Robizdamanwitdaplan not making anymore mr. j movies.

  • @blinky500 Oh, okay. Thanks for clearing that up :D

  • @blinky500 how come chris they are amazin or mabey what would be cool do a gotham sirons one u no catwoman, harley quinn and posin ivy

  • @bhffa because i cut my hair.

  • Really good.

  • Is this Joker somewhat inspired by Hannibal?

  • @jaenstuff yes

  • Wow Awesume short movie...

  • "I'd say yesss~" oh you sly dog. XD

  • Gotta say this was amazing, like all of your other work is, and the end leaves me begging for more. Congratulations on the documentary as well, I can't wait to see it when it airs.

  • So was it the Joker that kisnapped the kids, or a copy-cat? Or are we just supossed to never know? Maybe it was Harley?

  • @axelosbourne no it wasnt joker.

  • @blinky500 Joker says another prankster in Metropolis, is he talking about Toyman? Myxltplik?

  • I really felt like Superman just wasn't.. Superman. Superman losing his head is a great device, and I really like when people get under his skin. But death threats and joy over seeing the Joker executed just aren't Superman. And he was way too rough way too fast. I just felt like he was Batman wearing a Superman suit.

But (other than the kind of creepy take on the "hit me" scene) I really liked the Joker. He's a superb character for his ability to get to everyone, and you captured that great.

  • Chris would you consider doing "A Killing Joke" with the same style done her? for some reason I thought it would be an interesting twist on the classic

  • I can appreciate the dedication it takes to make a fan film of any sort, with little to no budget. All the complexities that go into getting set time... organizing your actors, etc.

But I honestly can't believe all the accolades here for nothing more then another Ledger impression of the Joker. His character was more of a terrorist wearing makeup, and NOT the Joker from decades of books. So (for me) it was watching an impression of a character instead.

  • @jtpencils to each their own.

  • @blinky500 i just think you're talented enough to have given us your own interpretation of the character. Don't give us Heath's version... give us YOURS! Now that I'd enjoy seeing! You have the intensity, just give it your own spin (is all).

  • @jtpencils well i can respect that. perhaps i will.

  • nice acting by the both of you

    and awesome superman costume

  • This is a great video. I especially like how you have Joker try to get into Superman's head and how Harley shows up at the end impersonating a lawyer. Overall, this was awesome. Great job as always!

  • That was really really awsome!!! I like how Harely followed him, cause gods know that she'd walk through hell and back without blinking for him. I cant really tell you anything I didnt like about, and I know far better then to ask why did Joker suddenly switch to Superman... If Batman is his bad habbit then I'd say Superman must be like his patch.

  • Awesome Video! The S is missing from the back of Supermans cape and The Actors Hair could maybe use a little hair jell to slick it back some.Other than that.Every thing else was Awesome! Looking forwrd in seeing more of your Awesome Fan Films!

  • @shoestringcinema never was a fan of the S on the cape, so i didnt do it. as for the hair? yeah. nick's hair is virtually unmanageable.

  • As good as this was, it doesn't feel right at all to end the series like this. I mean, the hair wasn't right, the film felt a bit 'rushed'... The "Hit me" was a bit too much of a throwback to the Dark Knight... I don't hate it. I like it, but it sucks to end the series on this note. 4/5.

  • Superman sounds like Topher Grace, lol

  • I liked this one. It was fun to see Superman investigated on a psychological level. Any chance you'd do a live action version of Lex Luthor Man Of Steel. Seems like some miniature work and one or two fights would be the most extensive thing to be done if portraying that in live action. Oh btw there's a typo in the description of the video, not the letter or notice part. So should be to

  • This was really good! I enjoyed waching every second of this!

I love your Joker videos, simply amazing!

    Well Done! :D <3

  • An interesting take on Superman. Aside from the casting choice and possibly the skull crushing thing, it would be cool if Christopher and Jonathan Nolan were on the same wave length, creatively speaking. It's too bad that you aren't going to do anymore of The Joker, I was kinda looking forward to what was coming next in the "Mr. J" series.

  • Amazing as usual. J totally brainfucked Supes there. Love it!

  • OMFFG!!! IT"S HARLEEEEYY!!! (I love her almost as much as I love Chris's Joker)

  • dude can you try to make a scream fan film

  • @afroman255 if you hire me, i will. but i dont work for free.

  • @afroman255

Didn't you just steal my idea i told you , about the scream Prequel I had in mind?

as Billy and stu descend into madness?

was that you who i told....or someone else....?

  • @ZetaRiticulan i don't know what you're talking about.

  • @afroman255 wrong person lol

  • I'm a big fan of your work and any fan who makes movies just for the love of the characters and with no budget deserves attention and admiration. I think you do a good Joker here, just as you've done before and the script is very decent. However, I didn't buy into Superman here at all. The costume, the way he moved, the way he spoke and the hair (especially the hair) all seemed more than a little off. A for effort, as always, but I'll go out on a limb and say this wasn't your best shot.

  • It's a shame you've decided that this will be your final performance as The Joker. Don't get me wrong, I respect your decision, but you do such a fine job of it that you personify the golden rule of showmanship; always leave the audience wanting more.

  • that woman is a very good actor

  • Chris you got some crazy story plots, its was like the when Joker had the immovable object and unstoppable force speech on top of that building in the end of TDK. Ikno ur in a tight budget and its hard for you but you still make really decent films, Im just tryna imagine how amazing ur films will be if you get a good budget.

Everything was cool you just needed a way better looking Sups/costume

  • Wow!! Great job. How sad we have lost another great joker!

  • Great work again Chris. Really enjoyed this one. I think you play the Joker exceptionally well!

  • supermans costume looks like that musical in the 70s fail....dialouge fail. idea decent please make better ones i will continue to watch

  • I really enjoyed this. The story and, for all those who think Superman doesn't threaten, of course he has. He does it often., In addition, I like Nick's acting in this, however I feel he simply doesn't look the part. Any reason why Chris from "I'm Superman, Idiot" couldn't make it? Overall, great work, Chris R.

  • @escottish140 he moved away.

  • @blinky500: Oh, that's tragic. I'll miss his Superman. Nevertheless, bravo to you, Nick, and Kim! Great job! I'll miss this series, followed it since the beginning, but I can't wait for more! Cheers! See ya next video!

  • Superman really seems out of character. The whole threatening thing isn't really Supes's style. He doesn't seem like the noble boy scout he is, more of a pretender. Unless that's what you're going for, some alternate version of Supes, it seems wrong.

  • @FaxModem1 i think youre missing the subtitles of the performance. superman is bluffing. its all an act. he's still young and new to metropolis. joker exposes him for being a boy scout. prior to that, he was banking on criminals being intimidated of him by not knowing he isnt lethal. this is a nolan superman. he's harder.

  • @blinky500 Yeah, okay, I thought you might be doing something like that, wasn't sure. To me, I agree with Alex Ross on the distilled trinity. Superman = Hope. Wonder Woman = Truth, and Batman = Justice. Its not the whole of what they are, but it is their core. IMO, anyway.

  • ok chris so not fair to keep us hanging like that.. its ok that you cut your hair...you can get a wig. lol. this was good.

  • find an actor that looks more like supes and you got yourself a winner

  • whens the second going to be posted? how far into it are you?

  • @logandh2 there is no second one. nor will there be. read the info box.

  • the guy playing superman id it perfectly, i mean really great job guys

  • The hair says it all

  • Guys stop sending comments telling him to make more Joker videos, they are good but let him do other projects. THIS IS GETTING REDICULOUS!

  • @TheDarkwasp thank you. though its ok. i appreciate hearing how much people appreciate my efforts. but regardless, its too late, i cut my hair and will indeed be moving on to other pastures.

  • If this is your last Joker film than a have to say you know how to make people want more. also l
