  • i've heard eddie talk about a world minimum wage elsewhere too.

    it's a ridiculous idea.

  • @ttimothymurphy No its really not, it gives people something better to live on, just because someones a cleaner doesn't mean they should be paid £1 an hour where as a banker or a footballer earning over a £100 an hour.

  • do you all work for labour?

  • @ianbowler007 No but labour did work for us!!

  • Eddie for Prime Minister. Look Eddie, if you can run a marathon a day for days on end, you can be a prime minister! Could you please choose your cabinet from amongst the Lib Dems as well as Labour though, as many of those guys actually have much more experience in opposition! Go Eddie!

  • If only I was old enough to vote!! I'm backing a future fair for all - Labour all the way, and Eddie Izzard's support makes me even more proud :)

  • omg :O eddie is just getting sexier at time goes on. He can run for pres i bet. he'd get my vote <3

  • My first EVER vote will be going to labour! They are the choice between a better Britain under labour or a corrupt Britain under the tories

  • hear, hear.

  • @lowestoftbus I hope to do the same aswell, Vote Labour!

  • I agree. Labour showed a lot of courage bringing in the minimum wage, opposed by the Tories.

People spend their time complaining about Britain, but it's probably the best country in the world to live in. No country is perfect, but Britain aint bad!

  • I agree with you completely, Labour have made this country a much better place to live in

  • You're a good Guy Eddie I think your outlook is just right, good luck to you Kid

at last a Television Personality with some Brains.

  • Eddie Izzard - not only is he the funnniest guy ever (darth vader sketch still cracks me up!!) but he has great politics too - good job!! :-)

  • Minimum wage, reduction in crime, higher taxes on higher earners, the ban on hunting and investment in schools leading to great exam results from working class kids leading to greater equality are all very good, just a shame about Iraq.

  • here here!

  • you are forgetting Labours greatest legacy that is Northern Ireland peace.

  • New Labour is too economically liberal for my liking. But then again Corporatist government didn't work out too well.

New Labour really isn't good. But in my opinion it is by far the lesser of two evils.

  • couldn't agree with you more!!!!

  • I agree. Labour has done a massive amount for this country. It is easy to forget how bad it was before hey came in in 97.

  • hear hear.

  • I'll grant that Labour has done some great things. Health and education have improved, although paying a little more attention to the ideas of the professionals therein wouldn't do no harm. I won't mention the war. I think I might have mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it.

One thing I would dearly like to see is proportional representation. When's it gonna be, guys?

  • proportional representation is a stupid system you end of with governments doing nouthing,

  • I know you won't let this show so it must be true...and you don't believe in democracy...and the freedom of speech....oh the irony of it all !')

  • What has Labour done? hmm let me think....

Killed thousands of Iraqi people by initiating a war based on complete and utter lies of W.M.D's..

    Apart from that great!

  • Certainly the war was prolonged and frankly a terrible thing. But the Conservatives, had they been in power, would not have made a different choice.

  • Really impressed with all the great work Labour has done for the country.

The reality is Labour has made a difference and helped millions. I care not for the cynical biased and poor quality journalism that passes for freedom of the press these days.

Labour has done good things and has many more ideas to help real people. I'm proud of Labour and proud that I will vote Labour.

  • i totally agree but ive really given up on politics because when people found out i supported labour they told me my views have destroyed britain and im a terrible person. thank god someone sees sense and understands were i am coming from

  • Seconded.

Proud to vote Labour, proud to be a Labour member.

  • Absolutely. Things could be better, but under the Tories things would be a great deal worse.

We need to re-elect Labour so that they can continue the great things they've done and are doing but also so that those things that we're not so proud of can be corrected and the issues yet to be tackled can be addressed.

Labour and Gordon Brown are the only choice for the country - the only choice for fairness.
