You can't compare JBL subs with a 100 watts other brand subwoofers. If you buy a 50 watts rms JBL sub, it will sound like a 100 watts rms! clean deep hard bass quality like always expected from JBL !

btw i made a mistake... mine does 400 watt (it's a visaton TIW 300). i understand that you think like WTF... but i did'nt wan't to compare them. maybe is it alot for that thing, but for a normal sub it's crappy.

You also should not buy them to explode the window of your house or something. They are more made for listening with an Ipod or an mp4-player. The sound quality is amazing clear and loud. I know they are a desktop speakers, but they sound the best with an Ipod. If you really want heavy bass for you desktop pc i recommend Harman Soundsticks.

Look... there are only a handful of speakers companies that actually make speakers...and JBL is one of them. Most "speaker manufacturers" are actually "speaker assemblers" they actually don't make speakers they buy parts from distributors and then assemble them...that is SAD! JBL actually does ALL of the engineering and design of every speaker they make.

This is awesome speakers! FYI it has long wire because you can put at different places besides on your desk. Ex. hanging from the ceiling, depends on your creativity. JBL co. has their purposes for designing their products. But thanks for showin.

Nice attempt to make sound systems a little less square and boring. I like the woofer but the satellite speakers not so much. And knowing JBL's other products, this probably sounds decent.
