Hello I am wondering how you got this exhaust sound is it just the exhaust system you have or is it a few more items. If so please let me know what it took to get that v8 sound.
Sounds great man I really like so I'm doing it to my 2 WD ford f150 for all the people who like to talk shot and think that just because with their v8 their the shit it's alright I can hop up my v6 and win the race because as your sitting at the has station I'm flying saying ha ha ha fuck you..........
really tryin to get one of these, theres one locally for sale with like 80K Miles on it, but its a v6 fully loaded for 3800$.. what gets me is that.. its a V6 mustang.. lol

Dods this, ustang have any cats on it? Check my mustang out. I had some lt headers and a offroad x pipe but I do have two of 4 cats and I don't sound the same. Out of curiousity is all cats removed? Lol

@003Mexicano Borlas exhaust system I don't like the design look of the tips. Magnaflow be careful some exhaust tips are 3.5'' tips it's overkill for the motor you'll lose horsepower if you get them for a stock motor unless you supercharged or turbocharged you mustang. Flowmaster is a good one they last a long time and lastly my favorite for a stock mustang or supercharged one would be Dynomax my brother had the superturbo one's they sounded bad ass get the 2.5'' inch tips.

@Dizzles he sold it not too long ago for an inaugural edition challenger. It would have been a good race my car traps 123, and makes 397 to the tire....if it stays a v6 i'm going to finish the built motor, and throw more boost at it.
@punypony boost that shit i gurantee you it'll make gt and cobra owners think twice. i know a few nice boosted v6s around my area. one of them being a 97 v6 swapped svo. but i had a neighbor in florida who had a gto with spintech exhaust and supercharged and ran autocross and endurance with it. had magnetic numbers for the sport too it was a pretty sick ride sounded so good that i couldnt tell if it was the lambo down the blow driving by.
Best sounding V6 ever. I don't think the casual observer would be able to tell the difference between it and the 4.6 at idle. If I couldn't afford a V8 model, this is what I'd do.

Don't get me wrong, me and my friend made a honda dx hatch beat corvettes in quarter miles, they can get quick, just need the$, for a different engine and a supercharger. There's nothing wrong with them, and there's nothing wrong with a v6. That's like saying every honda should be an nsx-zero, every mustang should be a cobra r, and to be totally stupid every subaru should be a wrc edition.
First off. If you like tuners, don't buy a honda, get something that doesn't have a fetus shooter for a exhaust. Loud exhausts are cool, so long as its not on an i4(honda, acura, etc) then they just sound like a synth drone from hell. Mustangs aren't tuner cars, and personally id rather have torque than horespower, and id rather go 70+ through corners than 200+mph in a straight line. That's what I did with my 35th anniversary v6, and its what im doing with my 97 obs.

@sto10169 Your check engine light will come on if the o2 sensors aren't plugged back in, it doesnt mean anything is wrong with it, just is becuz of that
nice v6 man. im a v8 guy, but i respect some v6's, and ur one of them. im actually thinking about building one myself for a fun cruiser. may i say, sounds pretty nice.
in my opinion you should have put an H pipe on it because i think it would sound better just my personal experience and my opinion...and as for this whole v6 v8 thing going on at least its American
a v6 mustang a v8 mustang...its still a mustang :)...and a v6 can have just as much potential as a v8 and can as well out perform one with some money and dedication
I have never been a fan of v6 mustangs, but this one is pretty clean. Why spend money trying to make a v6 stang "sound" or "perform" like one? by the time you finish spending all that money you could have bought yourself a GT at least.

v6 mustangs get such bad reps because people buy them and put stupid shit on them, like autozone chrome, and drive them like pussies. Hell where i live every time i see a v6 mustang, the paint is always faded, it has stupid stickers all over it, and to top it all off, its driven by some mexican bitch, and thats usually about 10 times every time i get out on the road
Everyone is wrong. My v6 and v8 mustang's were nearly identicle, other than power and sound. Inssurance, gas consumption, and price are about the same, I bought my v6 not because I can save maby 400 bucks a year over a gt but because I wanted somthing different. And the priceless looks of all the gt's I smoked were awsome.

i got a 2001 steeda...its a v6 supercharged with a full exhaust,cam, underdrive pulleys and a few other tricks...video coming soon.., ill blow the doors off your gt...its not bout buying somthing with power...buy somthing and give it power...thats the point of tuning and hot rodding right...

ford based the 232 off of buicks 231, if you know of thes (grand national engines) you know that they can realy handle boost, and ford even proved it them selfs with the super coupe. dont post stupid coments

i own 3 gts, and a c code, ive had 3 sn95 v6 mustangs, im actualy looking for another, because the gts just eat gas, unless you have actualy owned one, dont assume. i built the 4.6 in my 00 gt, and the 3.8 in my old 98, the modular stuff was alot more expencive.

my modded gt gets 18 mpg, my bone stock gt gets about 22 mpg, and i was averaging 26 in my v6. this is real world experience, not something some has told you.

@firechaisson While everything you say is true, I think that the 232 could never "push like a" 281 (while being kept naturally aspirated). Yes, you'll get better gas milage. Yes, it is decently powered for a v6 engine. But it isn't ANYTHING like being behind that sneaky small block 281.
@mdestefano.232 blocks were made for boost. It's the same engine as the XR7 cougar or the 88-94 supercoupe. just like my 99.And lol i wanted to upgrade to a v8,but when i showed up to 3 of the cars. My car looked nicer, exhaust was louder and barkier, and i Raped two in a dig and beat the other one by a few car lengths when we fucked around on a back highway.
@mdestefano31 The cranks in thema re the same as f 150's hardened heads and block, SPLIT port induction (only difference) and a higher compression ratio than a 281. 281's push at 9:8:1 compression, and 232's push at 10:9:1. Let a 232 stand idle at a red light in gear (barely in gear) and watch your RPMS's they willl rise a couple hundred RPMS. This engine uses STOCK boost. I tell you this car was initially underrated
@firechaisson I'm sorry, but a V6 with only an aftermarket exhaust system will not 'dummy' nearly any GT, maybe the REALLY old ones. And by no way is it underrated, I have a friend with a stock one with aftermarket mufflers and it is slow as SHIT. It does not even compare to my GT.
And also, by the time you mod a V6 to be as fast as a V8, you might as well of bought the V8 anyway because it will have costed the same in the long run.

The only reason I love the V6 is because I had one and put a crap load of bolt on on it. I loved pulling up next to the guy in the GT with his chick. They would always have that look on their face like they were so fast. Then after I smoked and I mean smoked their ass they wouldn't be looking anymore. 3.73 gears really do the trick!

@muaythaiandpeace Don't get a V8 trust me, this is the guy who had a 2003 V6 mustang with CAI and Exhaust, and sold it, bought a 2002 V8 stock with a CAI, sold it and bought another V6 again, 99-04 V8 mustangs are not as fast as they seem, its only 38 HP more than a V6, and wastes way more gas than a V6

Did you have the x-pipe made? And did your check engine light come on after the system?

@sto10169 Your check engine light will come on if the o2 sensors aren't plugged back in, it doesnt mean anything is wrong with it, just is becuz of that

I have never been a fan of v6 mustangs, but this one is pretty clean. Why spend money trying to make a v6 stang "sound" or "perform" like one? by the time you finish spending all that money you could have bought yourself a GT at least.

v6 mustangs get such bad reps because people buy them and put stupid shit on them, like autozone chrome, and drive them like pussies. Hell where i live every time i see a v6 mustang, the paint is always faded, it has stupid stickers all over it, and to top it all off, its driven by some mexican bitch, and thats usually about 10 times every time i get out on the road

Everyone is wrong. My v6 and v8 mustang's were nearly identicle, other than power and sound. Inssurance, gas consumption, and price are about the same, I bought my v6 not because I can save maby 400 bucks a year over a gt but because I wanted somthing different. And the priceless looks of all the gt's I smoked were awsome.

i got a 2001 steeda...its a v6 supercharged with a full exhaust,cam, underdrive pulleys and a few other tricks...video coming soon.., ill blow the doors off your gt...its not bout buying somthing with power...buy somthing and give it power...thats the point of tuning and hot rodding right...

some people (not me) cant afford gts, or cobras, for various reasons, a) they cost more, b) insurance cost more, c) they take more gas d) more expencive to maintain, or fix..... all of which add up fast, so as long as mods are tastefull, and not rice, i say go for
ford based the 232 off of buicks 231, if you know of thes (grand national engines) you know that they can realy handle boost, and ford even proved it them selfs with the super coupe. dont post stupid coments

@act2popcorn yeah, i know that but, most poeple would just laugh at you,. plus the exhaust sound doesnt really sound good unless you put ALOT of mods in it to make it sound like it. and the V8's aint really that much actually, i found some on craigslist that wasent that much.. not that much on gas. to me, i think if you handle any sports or muscle car like a regular daily driving car, there shouldent be much stuff to go wrong it and that wasent a stupid comment, i was just sugesting to buy a V8.

i own 3 gts, and a c code, ive had 3 sn95 v6 mustangs, im actualy looking for another, because the gts just eat gas, unless you have actualy owned one, dont assume. i built the 4.6 in my 00 gt, and the 3.8 in my old 98, the modular stuff was alot more expencive.

my modded gt gets 18 mpg, my bone stock gt gets about 22 mpg, and i was averaging 26 in my v6. this is real world experience, not something some has told you.

(currently tryin to get mine) and he drives like 30+ or a little over 40 miles and back for his job, on his 4-cylinder car. now i know those cars get GREAT mpg, but mustangs just have gotten my attention, the design of them, the motor, etc. but it does make sence, more cylinders more gas. but thanks bro

But it only dynoed at 188 hp to the wheels and 207 lb ft of torque. I threw on every bolt on one could the next step for me was to throw pistons or a supercharger on it. Never got to it though. And hell yea I spanked GT's all day long. After I added 3.73 gears to it I made GT's stand still from a dig. I got love for my V6 ponys.

@firechaisson While everything you say is true, I think that the 232 could never "push like a" 281 (while being kept naturally aspirated). Yes, you'll get better gas milage. Yes, it is decently powered for a v6 engine. But it isn't ANYTHING like being behind that sneaky small block 281.

@mdestefano.232 blocks were made for boost. It's the same engine as the XR7 cougar or the 88-94 supercoupe. just like my 99.And lol i wanted to upgrade to a v8,but when i showed up to 3 of the cars. My car looked nicer, exhaust was louder and barkier, and i Raped two in a dig and beat the other one by a few car lengths when we fucked around on a back highway.

@mdestefano31 The cranks in thema re the same as f 150's hardened heads and block, SPLIT port induction (only difference) and a higher compression ratio than a 281. 281's push at 9:8:1 compression, and 232's push at 10:9:1. Let a 232 stand idle at a red light in gear (barely in gear) and watch your RPMS's they willl rise a couple hundred RPMS. This engine uses STOCK boost. I tell you this car was initially underrated

@firechaisson I'm sorry, but a V6 with only an aftermarket exhaust system will not 'dummy' nearly any GT, maybe the REALLY old ones. And by no way is it underrated, I have a friend with a stock one with aftermarket mufflers and it is slow as SHIT. It does not even compare to my GT.
And also, by the time you mod a V6 to be as fast as a V8, you might as well of bought the V8 anyway because it will have costed the same in the long run.

The only reason I love the V6 is because I had one and put a crap load of bolt on on it. I loved pulling up next to the guy in the GT with his chick. They would always have that look on their face like they were so fast. Then after I smoked and I mean smoked their ass they wouldn't be looking anymore. 3.73 gears really do the trick!

@muaythaiandpeace Don't get a V8 trust me, this is the guy who had a 2003 V6 mustang with CAI and Exhaust, and sold it, bought a 2002 V8 stock with a CAI, sold it and bought another V6 again, 99-04 V8 mustangs are not as fast as they seem, its only 38 HP more than a V6, and wastes way more gas than a V6
