  • man, that Dr. Truman has a lot more understanding than the confused chaplain. i mean, if you know there are absolutes and certainties in this life, then your on the right path, basically

  • 1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and reapporach becasue we trust in the living God who is the Saviour of all men specially those who that believe.

Jesus never spoke of Hell he spoke of Gehenna Hell is a Egyptian Pagen teaching introduced to the roman catholic church in the dark ages

  • Pluralism is like light beer, great taste, less filling

  • God bless Saint Peter!

    God bless Catholic Church!

  • this guy is a great actor. it's interesting how some of the best talent are the ones who don't have "big" names.

  • What I needed to learn from this was the Reiko Aylesworth is near the top of the list of girls I'd like to spend a night with.

  • What we need to learn from this, is that the Gospel has eternal value and its message should always be very clear! People need salvation from sins and Jesus died for their sins! Softening the Gospel, or talking about some syncretistic religion is not going to help the people.

  • @renealtena

Yeah, that's true. All the liberal stuff may make one feel all warm and fuzzy but in the end it's an empty cloud that holds no rain. I'd say that chaplain wasn't saved herself, and the old dude was right in his estimation of her only making things worse.

  • All those soft liberal protestants have given us this kind of pathetic chaplain who can offer no more than silly New Agism. It is the Catholic Church founded by Christ on Peter which is the rock of the ages and security for eternity.

  • No, the catholic church is not the rock and security for eternity. Christ is! Catholicism has demoralized the cause and have caused many to become sour to hearing the Word of God. An ecclesia was founded by Christ in which Peter served as a rock; a founding father to Christianity.

  • Oh please!! You mean the Catholic church that teaches evolution in some of their confirmation material?? Gimme a break. There are just as many Catholics that buy into this new-age psycho babble as their are protestants.

  • Wow. Good points from this vid; God is love and forgiveness is possible.

And TV drama isn't the best source for what Christianity is really about.

  • jacero10 - What would the Pope say?

  • The pope would offter to hear the man's confession and give him absolution according to the power given by Jesus Christ to Peter and his successors. The man committed a heinous sin. He needs forgiveness. And Christ does not offer us forgiveness in the abstract but in a visible way through the ministry of the Church.

  • Another reason to oppose Women's Ordination. Feminism has eroded real Christianity. I bet this chick is Episcopalian. Pope Benedict would know exactly what to say and do.

  • The Catholic church has written it's own bible since 240 A.D. AND they don't follow their corrupted bible, but their unholy doctrine called, the Catechism.

The atonement was the blood shed by Jesus Christ and ONLY Him. No works or deeds done by us or some man wearing Prada and gold, who calls himself the "Pope" can change that.

Jesus saves, as it is written, it's the only truth.

  • Anti-Catholicism is just another bigotry. Take your hate back to your church.

Jesus founded the Catholic Church and the Catholic Church wrote the Bible.

  • The Catholic church wrote the Bible??? Really??? So Moses was a Catholic??? Unbelivable?? If you would stop goose-setpping right along with everything that comes out of Rome you might realize how absurd some of your comments are.

  • She will always be Michelle Dessler from 24. YUMMY! As for all the religious crap, who cares?

  • "As for all the religious crap, who cares?"

Duh! That's the whole point of this video, is it not?! Every person is going to die, including you, so you need to know where you stand with God.

  • What does God want from us? Accept the sacrifice that Jesus died in our place on the cross for all our sins. That is what God wants from us!!

  • Amen! There is such a dearth of able pastors/chaplains that are willing to say what you just said. Knowing that this is the case makes this scene all the more sad and poignant. Lord, have mercy!

  • Yes, it is deception and our own pride that keeps us from God. We think there is something we can do to free us from our sin nature when in fact Jesus has done it all and we just need to accept His atonement and forgiveness. So many are not wanting to tell or believe the simple truth of this "good news" in todays world. This is not only sad but down right tragic!

  • @maxxmee99 SO TRUE ITS tragic, that so many want reject truly free gift!!!

  • Chaplaincies are over-run with women with Divinity degrees trying to feel important by trying to please everyone from the Buddhist to the Orthodox Catholic. They can. They SHOULD quit!

  • this scene is so well played by Reiko! But poor Julia LOL

  • why do you say, "poor Julia"?

  • Because the guy is tough with her and she will never come back.

  • that's good!!
