  • what a wonderful idea to use trail mix instead of that nasty candied stuff in a tub! :)

  • I like your videos and I am subscribing

  • This looks really good and so easy!

  • Now normally I am not a fan of a frut cake. lol I use some for door stops or book case shelve stops or even paper weights before I would eat them. lol However, I might give this whirl. The triple sec got me. lol

  • @JSpearman4 lol, it came out to good to be used as a door stop, lol, the triple sec was a good addition

  • I am not a fan of anyone's fruitcake except my Mom's, but your recipe looks very similar. The only difference is she doesn't do the triple sec glaze, but that looks good to me! The quality of the dried fruit makes all the difference in this cake...pears and apricots give it a fantastic texture :)

  • @veggietorials Yeah the dried fruit from the trail mix was great, and yeah I just had the triple sec on hand

  • Awwwww, do you really love us?

  • @FoodisFuel87 Yes I do!

  • i love your videos!

  • @llbsl95 Thank you!

  • That looks sooo good!

  • @mspoetic247 thanks!

  • i love good fruit cake...i've had some that were great and some that were not

  • @MzSuperMinni All the ones Ive had before now were hard and weird tasting

  • A good fruitcake can be wonderful. Stay away from the glaced/candied fruit. If you make it in a round pan & use brandy instead of triple sec you put it in a covered cake or cookie tin for a week for it to infuse.

  • @zebraluna yeah, I didnt have any brandy : ( so I had to use what I had. I think its the infusing part that scares me, it was pretty good straight out the oven, but I know a true fruitcake has to sit for awhile.

  • =D

    buster :p

  • You are actually making me want to both make and (Yuck!) eat some fruitcake. You are good!

  • @iamgodgirl lol, Im still eating it, its actually good

  • Do i have to use agave nectar

    ?

  • @Hope1981ful nope, your can use maple syrup, more sugar, or any sweetener you like

  • Loooks yummy

  • @Hope1981ful thank you!

  • Yum

  • @anna09hayes Thanks!
