Lol at the people descirbing them as "toe-tapping" music. When i listen to them i really get into their music and the lyrics are awesome too. The strokes became my favourite band fast. It;s strange because i first heard their stuff from the newest album angles and wasn't much of a fan so i listened to older ones and now i love angles too. Guess you learn to love stuff

this chick is on point. these are well off kids who had it too easy but imitate the greats (television, velvet underground), yet listening to 'is this it' reveals their lack of meaningful experience, so the type of questions are well suited and deserved. there is no content in that album whatsoever, just superficial blabbering by casablancas. catchy as hell though :)
