Now that is just MENTAL!! lol :) ..... What system are you running?? I have the eZRun Combo B2 35A ESC+9T/4300Kv motor in my Drifter, so naturally the gearing will be different :) ..... That thing is just INSANE :) ........ AND ..... NO people, this video is NOT sped up!! ... It is all natural :) .... It is not impossible to make an electric RC go super fast, depending on your budget and the mods that you make to your car, after all ...... The WORLDS fastest RC is ELECTRIC :)

The gyro effects the steering servo much like it would in a heli rotor providing a heading lock to keep the car straight when no input is being given. It largely helps lesser skilled drivers keep their RC's under control, which is fine tbh. The only time it bothers me is when people think theyre badass at driving because of it, when theyre not.

You'll also frequently see them in off road cars (to keep them straight while they bounce around) and most frequently in Drift RC's.

Thanks for the explanation, it seem logic. I never drove any rc car with a gyro, only rc helicopter. Does it make a true difference?

Oh yeah. It provides the same style of heading lock that it does in your heli. You just gata set it up properly, the "gain" i think, so that it it keeps the RC straight. Too much and it'll start wagging back and forth, trying to find a center (which is usually a result of it picking up slop). When you turn, like your heli, it should release control to the steering while keeping it smooth (though spins can still happen).

I havnt done it either, but this is from people who have.

My recommendation is to try your heli first, since you already have it. It'll be the same setup from your esc to the gyro to your steering, as it is with your heli. As i said i havnt done it myself but i've seen the results.

Theres a reason its considered cheating by most racers (and why alot of people get crap, even drifters, for using it).

i dont have anything against on-roads but why not get an off-road BL with 2s lipo and do 70kmh on any surface

and if you want to drive on road stiffen the shocks like mad drop the ride height and put different treads on

i have a 70T spur gear and a 26T pinion

and have a brushless motor with a gear ratio of: 8,0:1. mine internal ratio is 2,6154. if i do 70/26= 2,6923 x 2,6154 = 7,04 is that to low for mine motor

overgeared. ( or undergeared i dunno sure)

It automatically counter-steers for any unwanted turning of the car. If the heading of the car changes (even very slighly), the gyro will automatically adjust your steering servo to counteract it. In other words, no spin-outs in high speed turning.

Just remember that if you want to race your car in actual ROAR-sanctioned events, you will be disqualified.

Ya, there's no GPS, but it looks like it can go pretty fast regardless.

In my video, I tested my car and it went 59km/hr or so.

I used parking stalls, measured the distance over 6 of them, and used the video to time exactly how long it took to cover the distance of the stalls, then I got m/s, convert that to km/hr and I was good to go!

That could also be done with this car, and the proof would be solid, because you could also do a similar calc from the video.
