easily. don't take it so seriously. let's not forget that this movie is 33 yrs old...and yes, it was a very low-budget movie (hence the really bad effects)...however, this movie was adapted from the stage musical and if i recall correctly...they didn't change much of anything in regards to the storyline.

btw, this is my favourite scene in the movie..

if you check out scene 31 (?), you can see Columbia's nipples. hawt!

They did make a sequel. It's called "Shock Treatment" and Richard O'Brien wrote it. But Tim Curry turned down being in it which probably killed the movie. Richard O'Brien has a different script for another Rocky followup called "Revenge of the Old Queen", but it has never been filmed.

Oh for god sake the lazer bounces off Rocky because he is stronger than the others as he was created rather than born. However it still hurts him and each time he is hit he gets a little weaker. Yes he can swim but the accumulation of lazer shots, grief for Frank, lugging a dead body up a ladder and then falling into a pool plus everything else that has happened since he was created a few hour before probably put him into shock which will have weakened him to the lazers power and so he died ok?!
